Biometrics at USCIS Pittsburgh - walk in?

Has anyone tried a walk-in at the USCIS in Pittsburgh, for their biometrics appointment?

I got my biometrics letter with an appointment for 4/20, but I am headed to Pittsburgh anyway this Friday and was hoping to give it a shot then. :o Though I've also heard that even if walk-ins are accepted, you need to show up early, and it's very unlikely we'd make it there before sometime around 11 or noon. D:

I'm not sure if an earlier biometrics would speed up the process any, I just want to try anything, and it would be nice to not have to make that long drive again if I could help it. So anyone has any experiences?

Well, probably not her green card since she is applying for one.. hence the biometrics. But yes, take the rest and see if it works. No way to find out besides trying :)

I didn't try, because the day I was there got really busy for me (I had multiple doctor's appointments and needed to run other errands with family), and it's a 2+ hour drive otherwise. However when I was there for my regularly scheduled appointment, the office was completely empty and the guys had a lot of time to just talk to me and such, so I'd definitely try.

I have walked in in the Pittsburgh USCIS and they let me in. Everyone was super nice there and I was done in 10 minutes. There was a family of five there, yet that didn't affect me cause they were doing paper work while I had my biometrics taken although they were there before me. Definitely give it a shot and make sure to dress and talk nicely. Good luck everyone!
