hey guys,

just graduated college in may of 2010; i am looking for a long term job; in the mean time i'm working full time; $15/hour, 1800/mo after taxes..

i worked for the same wages with a different company from december to februrary, and from just started a new job in march.. it is however only temporary, so I'm looking while I work.

this is my dilema.. i'm pretty sure my wages are sufficient enough, but my work history is probably lacking, it's also possible i change jobs one more time before I receive the NOA2, (if I do it would be for a bigger paycheck)

NOA2 will probably come in may..

i don't have a cosponsor, what should i do? should i wait 6 months or a year to have had a steady job? will they frown on the fact that i've changed jobs a few times in few months even though i've consistently worked and earned enough money??

They only care that you make current income that meets the requirements.

When I was applying for my husband I was working 1 full time job and 2 part time jobs. I took 3 months off durind the year to get married so had to make up for that income. In 2008 I just made enough to sponsor my husband (I mean like $100 over the line). However, I sent evidence that my salary for my three jobs was double the amount needed to sponsor my husband. I had no problems.

So as long as you make over the amount required to sponsor your spouse and can show that you are currently making enough you should be fine. I don't think they care about your work history and how many jobs you have taken and left as long as you can show that you are employed and make enough. Hope that helps.

Current income is key.

I emailed my fiancee's embassy to ask about this as well - my income last year was barely under the requirement because I was in school part of the year, my income this year is more than double - and I was told current income, backed up with proof (such as 3-6 months of pay stubs + letter from employer) is what matters most. Tax transcripts or tax returns still have to be provided, but primarily to show you have been paying your taxes.
