Hello. I mailed out my i129-f K1 Fiance Visa to teh Vermont Service Center and it was received on September 28, 2010. I have not received an approval yet. i called two weeks ago and they were processing filers from September 11, 2010. I called today because I was expecting it to be complete and they told me they were still on September 11, 2010.

Here is the major crisis. My wedding is May 29th!!! Two months. My fiance is from the UK. Do you guys honestly think that it will make it in time??

I am overwhelmed and do not know what to do. It is a month over normal processing times for Vermont. WE have spent close to $25,000 for our wedding. Will it be done on time or should I just prepare myself for canceling the wedding?!

OH DEAR! :( We had our wedding set on the 22nd of July and were dead worried that I might not be able to make it. We only got our approval last week. That was 184 days since our NOA 1. I honestly think that you can't make it and that you should start thinking about setting it back to a later date. I've also heard that it is a long wait for an interview date to be scheduled in London. I'm sorry. I hope you get your approval soon.

Honestly it is almost impossible for you to make it at this point. I would cancel and get as many refunds as you can before you can't get any money back. FYI for other's reading this (unfortunately it is too late in the OP's case) NO money down until the visa is in hand.

Pretty much impossible. If you got approved today and then the Embassy had great compassion on you then they could technically schedule your interview in time for you to be able to fly out there. Of course, that possibility makes it harder to make the decision to cancel!

Someone in your other thread did make a good point, that it would be possible for you to do the wedding without the legal part. It is more common for people to do the legal part before the celebration or religious parts, but it is an option. You may not want to separate the two though.

Whatever you choose to do, it is a good idea to call all the people/companies involved. At least some of them may be willing to offer some concession to you, whether in agreeing to put your deposits against another date or telling you they could potentially still do it at the last minute if you miraculously appear on time.

Our interview/approval was just about 2 months after our NOA2, and my fiance will enter the US 2.5 months after NOA2. I definitely agree with the others that it is highly unlikely you will make it for your wedding, which is very unfortunate. Hopefully you can get some money back! Good luck

We're 5/30 and at CSC. Expecting approval this week. London seems to be moving a bit faster. We're doing the Vegas thing, so nothing is concrete. I doubt you'll make it, but who knows? People have been getting through London in under 2 months, lately. I've been reading that people have been asked about their wedding plans, but how can any of us make any with such uncertainty?

Oooh hun, I think it might be best to postpone the wedding; that's very tight that you're looking at.

Even if you were to get approved in the next month on the I-129F, your finance would still need to have his medical, have an interview, etc.

Has he reviewed all the packet 3 forms, etc. just so he can be prepared to send them off as soon as possible, once you guys have a case number?
