I-864 Needed for K-1?

Hey guys,

My fiance and I are finishing last touches for our K-1 interview in Montreal this April (YAY!).

It is listed on the interview letter that we need to provide both I-134 and I-864, but reading the I-864 instructions, it seems to be for CR1 visas and not for a K-1.

Can anyone who has interviewed lately in Montreal for a K-1 tell me whether we need to provide both or not?

Thanks much!

You need the I-134 Affidavit of Support for the K-1 interview. After you arrive to the US and get married, you will apply to Adjust your Status from non-immigrant fiancee to Permanent Resident. When you file the AOS application (I-485) then you will need to complete the I-864 Affidavit of Support. Good luck at the interview :) .
