Receipt of I-130's

Does anyone care to share the number of days before they got confirmation that their I-130 was received? I have been reading so much conflicting information, I don't really know what to expect. I'm wondering if there was an average amount of time we can expect to wait.. I've been seeing some who appear to have gotten their receipt # within days, some within weeks and a few much longer than that.

I know that they don't want to hear from anyone inquiring about the status of the receipt until 30 days has passed, but are there any factors that would affect the amount of time it takes just to get a receipt notification??

7-14 days it should take to get the NOA1 Notification.. Mine took 10 days but I have seen others much shorter time..I sent express mail and I tracked it and they received in 1 day......

Some of us CR1/I-130 spouse petition March 2011 filers received text msg and e-mail confirmation almost immediately. While others have not heard anything as of yet. Please refer to my signature below for a chronological timeline of I-130 submission.

Wow - so I am not alone in my situation. I checked out the timelines for quite a few here and did not see any real pattern, but I noticed that some who filed this month did get their notifications within just a few days. Wish we could know the reason for that.

At least I feel better knowing that not everyone gets the receipt notice right away so that is good news!

I know that I often see many people think of this as such a long and rough road, but at least in our case it feels like the time is moving pretty quick with so much to do!

by the way... I wonder if they cashed the check fast or it took some time? I just asked my bank today and they said that the check had not been cashed.. don't know how long they will hold on to it before they deposit.

see my timeline. it appears the check was cashed right before they sent out the NOA 1. It was also posted on my bank account one day later...

Mine was sent on 16th

Cheque cashed 23rd

NOA1 arrive 29th!
