Hi everyone,

Is anyone familiar with walk ins for biometrics at the Boston ASC? I just received my letter for the end of April and was wondering if i could go in earlier. However time is at a premium, and I want to be reasonably sure I can get it done if I go - even if it means waiting for a few hours...

Has anyone here done the walk-in at Boston before?

Thanks!

Posted at the check in desk is the current Alert Status (red, yellow, etc) and along with it who they are taking. The last time that I was there (Nov) it stated that only those with appointments would be accepted. That being said, I did not ask what they would do if someone came in early that day.

All the times that I've been there it hasn't been super full and the wait wasn't terribly long. The folks at the desk and those that seem to be in charge of the ASC are all very pleasant and helpful. I've seen mostly the same faces working there over the past 4 years.

My guess is that it would be ok. But I've always been there on the appointment day.

I did a walk-in on Thursday at 8ish am. I explained that I couldn't make it to my next weeks appointment which was on Wednesday at noon (I didn't give any reason why and they didn't ask either). I was told I would need to talk to supervisor but he, security guard, didn't see any reason why I couldn't do it today. When supervisor came, I told exactly the same thing- I can't make it to my appointment next week. He told me that I would need to wait till they help out people for 8am appointments. He told me it could take an hour or longer that I could come back later, however, I chose to wait there. Nevertheless, 15 min later they called me to fill the form and another 10 min later I was out of there.

I guess it all depends who you get...
