On Thursday it will be 3 weeks since we got the NOA2 email and text, and NVC has still not received our stuff. I know they say 10 to 15 business days but all the visas I see on vj are usually a week, maybe 2....Is this going to make the process take longer? Should I be worried?

Are you asking a person at NVC? K1s won't ever be in the automated system so it would say file not found even if it had come and gone from NVC. Just checking if that might be your problem.

Our approved petition wasn't received by the NVC until around 3 weeks after our NOA2 date either, don't worry :)

Edited to add:

When we called the NVC 4 weeks after our NOA2 date they gave us our case number and told us the date they'd received it and the date it'd been sent to the consulate, so they obviously do have information in their system!

I agree they have K1 information in their system. My post was saying the K1s can't punch their USCIS case number into the automated phone system to find out information.

It has now been 22 days since NOA2, and I called the NVC again today. They said it's been more than the normal 15 business days, and that I should email them with a scanned copy of my NOA2 so they can research my case and why it's not in the system. Has anybody else done this and if you have, what were the results? Did they find it right away? Were you notified of this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Into the 17th business day now, it's becoming increasily frustarting that every stage of the process is taking longer than it's supposed to.

As stated, it CAN take up to a month. A month is still longer than 17 days, so technically, it's not taking 'longer than it's supposed to.'

NVC reps do not say a MONTH. They say it takes between 10-15 business days for it to arrive. I would know as I was told that twice before I was told my NVC number and it's what others have recently said in the NVC forum.

if its been more than 15 business days scan a copy of your NOA1 and email it along with an inquiry to NVC so they can search for your case.

Also it may just be a bad operator or they have not logged it in the system, NVC received my case on 3/28 and i called that day and for the next 3 days and was told they dont have it. on the third day I called in the morning they said they dont have it on record and when I called back a few hours later they had it.

good luck

Could be...for some reason the government computers love to update slow as anything...that is IF they are update before or after we amke the calls.

I was told Monday the 21st that my petition wasn't there, I had also sent an email right before i called. Then at 7:03AM the next day the NVC replies with my case number...which means it was there for a little as it is very very rare for them to get a case same day and have a number for it and send it right out.

Same is with my consulate. I emailed them to see if my package arrived (it had, using the DHL trick). They said "No, contact NVC (idiots, why would I when NVC told me to contact the consulate or DOS for any further info). I then called the DOS and they said "Yes your package just recently arrived there.

Pretty much its the case of left hand not knowing what right hand is doing.

If NVC reps don't say "can take up to a month", then I'm not sure who I called each of those 10 days. Because that's what they told me. "Can take up to a month."

well the NOA2 says it can take up to a month to receive the notice that it's been sent to the consulate. But i've only heard "10-15 business days" or "2-3 weeks"

Have now emailed the NVC my NOA2 and am waiting for the "automated" response. Anybody else been through this and want to share experiences?
