Hi everyone.

I'm waiting for my NOA 2 right now and hoping to get thing done before I actually receive my NOA 2. Let's me get my story straight. I've moved to the UK since 200

4. The most vaccinations I have them done in my home country. I went to see my GP last week asking about my vaccination record. She only found 2 record of vaccinations that I had it done in the past, they are Rubella antibody titre and Hepatitis B. I required to have a blood test with my GP but she wanted to know what do I want to check and what are they requirements? I just want to make sure that I'm a 100% healthy cuz I do not want to waste my time in the medical examination. But I feel very healthy though. HELP PLEASE, what should I do???

My questions are,

MMR and Td/Tdap, are these type of vaccinations I should get it done before my medical examination?

How much do they cost?

What else should I prepare or get before Medical examination?

Thank you for all answers and all the best for you guys.

Yes, MMR and Td/Tdap are the ones you should get done before. They are the major ones required in the UK.

Not sure how much they cost, you'd have to ask your GP.

Check out this as well: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/iv_medical_letter.pdf

There is a sheet at the end you have to fill out.

You are supposed to provide details for anything you mark as 'yes'.

You should be able to get MMR and TDaP done for free by your GP, though I guess that would depend on if they know that you know you have had them before, if you see what I mean. They require 2 shots of MMR. If you were doing a CR1 visa then you could just get the MMR from your GP right before the medical, and avoid the second shot. But as you are doing K1 it might be better to try to get both shots just to be sure. Think they must be at least a month apart, so maybe try to get one from your GP as soon as possible. If you don't get the second one before your medical it won't be too expensive to get it done there.

If you are sure that you did have the MMR or TDaP done in your home country then you could ask for titres instead to prove immunity. As these are combined shots you would need to show immunity to all the included diseases, which might not be possible if your home country doesn't actually vaccinate against all of them.
