Noa2 to NVC case Numbers

After reading the last two days about getting I-130 approval (Noa2) and being sent to NVC...ive also read many posts that say that the NVC hasn't been very speedy in getting the cases into the system with the numbers...

We are planning to do as much as we can with the online services as possible to try to speed up our time spent at NVC...

but wondering...is NVC updating the cases in a decent time frame? How long from I 130 approval until gaining NVC numbers and being able to begin at NVC

THEN...after NVC completes how long is that time frame? and how fast will they get it to embassy???

9/8/15 visa status issued

04/29/2010 - Went to Morocco to visit Rachid

05/07/2010 - Married

06/15/2010 - I-130 Sent to Chicago Lockbox

06/17/2010 - I-130 Packet Delivered, signed for by L. BOX

06/22/2010 - NOA1 issued and mailed

06/24/2010 - Cheque Cashed ($355)

06/25/2010 - Received NOA 1 in mail

06/29/2010 - Touched

06/30/2010 - Touched :)

08/03/2010 - Touched :)

10/07/2010 - Touched :)

01/26/2011 - RFE

02/08/2011 - Sent USCIS our RFE

02/10/2011 - USCIS Received the RFE

03/22/2011 - NOA2!!!!!!!!

03/28/2011 - NVC received our Petition

The NVC timeframe varies, but from my experience...once they have all the necessary documents, the case should be completed in a month.

For Pakistan interviews- expect an interview date 2 months after the NVC case complete date, but if you're lucky it could be earlier. At NVC, they schedule interviews for Pakistan the second week of each month.

Hi .. so I am beginning my journey.. well I have my NOA 2 approved, NVC should receive my info by next week. I was wondering i put Lahore for the consulate, and a lot of my friends say there is one in Islamabad but don't know about Lahore. Any one have any ideas? my fiance is in Lahore which is why I put that. Anyway any help would be appreciated.

Most immigrant visas go thru Islamabad... Karachi also has a consulate my husband lives there but he had to travel to Islamabad for interview. Best of luck!

eabbas is ur case still in AP? how long it will take?

That's the million dollar question... yeah we had interview june 15... they kept his passport and said mandatory ap for at least 45 days and asked for a clear document that my oldest child has reached majority in nc so we can exclude from household i864 dependants...which we did on june 20th they forwarded on the 23rd to the CO in charge of his case...

So...all that said is every time we call DOS they say "pending" except one time two weeks ago she said standard review.

It's such a dark place.. IDK what to think or do..as there isnt much you can do but you cant take your mind off of it :crying:

Usually goes faster once correct documents are at NVC. Much faster than a typical wait time from USCIS NOA1 to NOA2.

Still waiting.

9/12/11... CR1 & Cr2 cases completed. ~37 days
