If you do an early walk in biometrics does this help speed up your case or its just for peace of mind, as the case will not be touched again until the set appointment date as passed. I was just wondering the benefits of doing it early?

The real benefits on doing it early is if you were to be out of town and not returning on the date you have scheduled to go. so you would do an early walk in so you don't have to worry about it anymore. It doesn't speed up the process and I see no reason why it should either.

yes it does.. and how could u not see the reason why it would speed up the process. guess that is why I'm here to help. To go on.. I applied for my citizenship and did biometrics after 2 weeks and was awarded my interview date in 20 days.. before my original scheduled date of Feb. 28, 2011 so yes it helped because on Feb. 28 I already knew the DATE i would go to Memphis Tennessee for my interview.

Ok, then USCIS lies when they say petitions are processed in orders which they are received. The other reason I said it shouldn't speed up the process is because many members going early for no apparent reason, just to speed up they process, the early walk in biometrics war has begun though. I might do an early walk in.

Wait..so once you have sent off your AOS packet, you can do biometrics as early as you want? No need to wait for the appointment?

No thats not the case you have to wait on the appointment letter but once you have it you dont have to wait on the date of the appointment, but you have to have the letter first. This is only allowed at some ASC offices.
