I WAS DENIED IN MOROCCO CONSULATE

Take a breath and try to think positive. My husband was denied a visa 1 1/2 yrs ago before we got married so we knew our wedding had to be in his country. I asked for special permission to take a month off from work to abide by the laws of his country and luckily my employer was understanding. You can plan a lovely wedding with your family & friends and then have a renewing of the vows in the US later with your fiances family. An immigration attorney once told me that the US looks at the CR1 in a whole different light because after all, if they deny you, they are denying a US Citizen family unity. Sticking together and showing the officer you are determined to overcome these obstacles might show them how commited you are to each other for the next interview. Just keep constant contact & try to co-mingle your finances in the meantime. Chin Up!

Just want to say that the consular officer told my hubby the SAME THING....get married, I will issue you a visa....fast forward 14 months, cr-1 interview by a woman, but with the SAME MAN right behind her, looking over our file, and talking with her....denied again. I would not believe everything the consular says

What is the status of your petition now? Did it go back to USCIS? My husband was denied at the Riyadh Saudi Arabia Consulate 2 weeks back. It is frustrating - Congressman's office told me that there is nothing more to do until I get contacted by USCIS. The consulate has not sent the case back in the diplomatic pouch yet. It is very frustrating.
