Can anyone assist in my cancel process.

My Fiance broke off the engagement 2 weeks ago and we do not communicate anymore.

Our relationship was real and now we broke up I do not want the K1 VISA anymore for her.

I just received a NOA2 Letter Yesterday. Now it is headed to the NVC for processing for interview date.

I do not want this to impact me with a future K1 Fiance Visa so what should I do be honest or more

reserved with the letter to cancel the visa I want to get this done soon before they mail out a

interview date to her. And I do not want it to effect me for future K1 Visa.

Thanks for any help

It's unlikely you'll be able to stop the petition before it's sent to the consulate. The consulate won't know what to do with your letter until they get the petition, and you'll need to include the DoS case number on the letter. You can get the DoS case number by calling NVC, but not until NVC receives the petition and assigns a case number. If you really want to cover your bases you could send a letter to USCIS (include the USCIS case number), send a letter to NVC (include both USCIS and DoS case numbers), and send a letter to the consulate (include DoS case number). Or, just wait until you know the consulate has the petition and send a letter to the consulate. You could also try to email a scanned copy of the letter to the consulate, as well as fax a copy to them.

You don't have to explain anything in the letter other than that you want to withdraw your petition. You have the right to do this anytime up until the visa is issued. They really don't care why your relationship fell apart. The only other issue they might be interested in knowing about is if your fiancee was involved in intended visa fraud, in which case they'd want evidence of this.

Because your petition was approved this will affect future K1 visa petitions. If you file another K1 petition within two years you'll have to ask for a waiver of the IMBRA filing limitations. Those waivers are usually approved unless you also have any IMBRA related convictions.
