I have a friend that just met his lady online and met in person for not even two months this time. They are applying for K1 Visa this time, im wondering if its possible they will be approved?????is it real possible?? will evidences of communicating each other will be good enough? or there's just another way around to make them be approved?

Can anyone there share to me their thoughts about this situation?

Well the requirements is that they must have met within the two-year period before your filing of the petition I-129F. So, he can file.

They can file.. but after two months of knowing/meeting someone ... but geez you'd think they'd wanna slow it down a bit just makes for a stronger case.

Depends on how long they communicated online and records of such before meeting in person. Also having pictures of when they met. Hopefully different pictures and some with family members also.

How long did he stay? Helps if he makes another trip or attends interview .

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

in my experience, it does not matter at all how long you meet each as long as the feelings are genuine. my husband and i meet each other last feb. 2009..we meet in person march 2009. he stayed in Philippines for a week...we filed April 2009.... we got approved November 2009 (with visa on hand already)...me and daughter fly here last December 2009.

yes, i believe on what rosetx said as long as ur relationship is bonafide nothing to be worried and u can prove it during ur interview . its not the matter of longivity ur relationship is but its a matter how u love each other.

i totally agree on how you really know your fiance:) i've known my fiance for over 4 months now and talking online everyday is knowing him more everyday:) just gather more evidence of your ongoing relationship while you're waiting for your interview:) i hope that will help  goodluck:)

I see no problems.

Many people in the Philippines section, met online, got on a plane for a couple of weeks, meet their "soon to be Fiance" and proposed and went back home and filed thier paperwork.

I think in some countries, it is considered "not very wise" to be engaged to marry so soon after meeting someone, particularly if you only meet online. However, I met my last wife, we were married 5 short months later... and we lasted 17 years, until she met someone online and decided it was time for a change. Several of my friends and family doubted the marriage would last because we barely knew each other during the "courtship" phase.

Being able to date someone for a while, get to know them well, is surely wise. But to do so with someone in a foreign country, particularly the Philippines, is difficult at best. Unless you are in the military stationed overseas, or have a job that allows you to travel to the PI, it is difficult to spend time together. Unfortunately, the simplest way to spend time together is to get married and "try it out". As long as the couple is dedicated to each other and the relationship, why won't it work?

And with the slow pace of the visa process, you will have time to get to know one another, at least as well as you can online. Proof of a relationship includes emails, texts, phone records, visa entries, etc. Not necessarily spending time in person, though I am sure that helps validate the process.

And with what I have learned about Filipina culture, their dedication to family and loyalty, I don't see any other group of people in the world having more chance of success in a marriage without being able to spend months/years together.

They might even get their petition approved the next month (or was it the same month after filing?). That has been known to happen here B-)

I believe meeting in person is face to face and skin to skin and flesh to flesh and do not think meeting online meets the requirement unless U think spanking your monkey over a web cam is suffice
