interview for CR-1........ proof of courtship???

Hi everyone. I'm looking for advice from people who have had a similar situation to mine (which i'm sure is a lot of people, ha ha)

Me and my wife have been married since 12-28-09, and I have been living here since since 11-27-09 (Although I did have to go back to the states for 3 weeks from 01-26-10 to 02-21-10).

On April 1st we have our interview, so here is my question.......

Since I have been living here with my wife for well over a year, is it still important that I bring proof of courtship??? I feel that since I have been living down here for so long should be all the proof we need. But do you think they'll still ask for like old emails/letters from when we were just BF/GF when I was in the states? I tried to search the forums for an answer like this but I couldn't find one, so any help or ideas people can give me would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

When I filed my I-130 in Paris the person never asked for proof of our relationship. I even asked him to whom I should give it to. He responded that the people who prepare the most, in general, don't need to prepare as much. I'd just go ahead and write out a letter on the evolution of your relationship. It might take an hour to do, but you'd have it if they need the proof. In this case, it's better have more prepared than not enough.

Basically, I'd try to print out a few emails from when you guys were dating and when you were engaged. Include some pictures from this time as well.

I know it may seem dumb, but all it takes is the interviewing agent to want one thing that you don't have to really throw a wrench in it.

Compile some old emails, cards boarding passes and photos from the first time you and her started talking and met in person. Add in present documents photos, joint bank accounts, rental agreement, bills copy of your passport with the BI stamps or anything that shows how long you have been in the PI and so on, this will show on going relationship and commingling of finances

. The pre screener will ask for this and some other documents for the CO's review. Remember it's not how you feel but how the CO feels.

Good Luck

This is USEM not Paris, the OP is at the interview stage not filing the I-130 if that's what your talking about?

So, the proof of a relationship and all that stuff that goes with it is something that needs to be established at the interview? I'd have thought they would have collected that information at the initial DCF I-130 Petition. In other words, it's something we ought to bring for the interview?
