Hello, I guess some of you might handle the situation times. But it is new for me.

I, a Chinese citizen, work and live in China in 2010. My husband, USC, works and lives in USA in 2010. When I was in USA, we filed joint tax return. This year we are going to do the same. But we do not know how to deal with my income in China for 2010. Some suggested 2225 form, but 2225 form seems for the USC who works oversea. Not our case. What should we do? Thank you!

Ok, I figured out that Form 2555/Form 2555EZ is suitable for resident aliens as well. Thanks.

Your husband will also need to include a letter stating that you and your husband are electing to treat you as a legal resident for the 2010 tax year..

Thank you, Dan_ling. We already submitted a statement of treating me as a resident alien when we first time filed our joint tax return in 2008.
