HI EVERYONE,

GOT A QUESTION ABOUT AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT QUESTION THAT ANYONE CAN HELP ME ANSWER. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF CR-1 RIGHT NOW PETITIONING FOR MY WIFE FROM VN. I AM SELF EMPLOYED, WHAT INCOME ON THE TAX RETURN AM I SUPPOSE TO CONSIDERED AS ENOUGH INCOME (NET, ADJUSTED GROSS)WHAT IS IT? I KNOW THAT MANY PEOPLE SAY THAT IT'S LINE 22 OF THE 1040. I ALSO HEARD FROM SOME PEOPLE THAT SAYS LINE 37 ON THE 1040. SO WHAT EXACTLY IS CORRECT? AND ONE OTHER QUESTION. WHAT FORM (I-134 OR I-864) DOES THE HCMC CONSULATE REQUIRES FOR THE CR1 PROCESS? Applying for the spouse visa you will use the I-864 affidavit of support.

For a self employed person the income amount that is evaluated will be line 22 (form 1040) from your most recent tax return.
