Have you seen the schedule for November interviews in Poland already? Here it is: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/poland/275705/cons_iv/IV%20Appt%20Nov%202012%20ENG.pdf

They posted it so early!

I put all the dates on a piece of paper and counted how many interviews they have that certain day: there are 13 interviews the most in one day (Nov 6th, I believe); the average is 8-9 a day.

Considering the fact that the embassy is closed on following days: 1, 12, and 22, there are still a few days without an interview at all or with one only (9, 16, 21, 23, 29, 30 - that is a WHOLE week with no action!! :))

Since they posted it so early, they will probably schedule more interviews along the way but I was thinking: if our interview is scheduled in December, and they still have dates for November, why not calling them and asking about moving the date a bit? Is that even possible?

Tru_love, do you know a reason why I'm not seeing all the packets that you see? I put the same info as you do and I can only see 10 cases. How come? (I didn't specify the location)

Plus, in your opinion: have these cases been recently completed at NVC? I keep hearing they are not scheduling anymore but some of these packets must be spousal cases with an interview date assigned just recently, no? I read somewhere: for cr1 etc. they schedule an interview and send it out the next day or so.

No package has been sent to Poland today as of now :(

Is it true they look at the priority date when scheduling interviews?

I wish having an account (updated one) on VJ were mandatory while applying for a visa:) We would know so much more!!

I very much agree, i have talked to many members that start strong and then stop posting when it is time for the most important step of all, the interview wait. Strangely, it seems the married VJ members mostly, from what I can tell the 3 people that have finished their posts it has been 6 weeks after the case gets completed to the interview, we will see as Halloween is my 2 weeks, if i get the interview date then... After we spoke today, I called NVC,(Impatient must be my nickname)and I caught the worker in a lie  , she said we only schedule on the 15th, I replied Oh my god no, my wife is from Belarus there is no way we would ready for the interview that soon, stunned silence and then the NVC agent spoke, don't worry we give everyone a month to get ready. She did say we need two new passport photos, So far I think we have sent about 16, as far as the priority date goes, i understand it like this, if both of our cases got there today, and we were the only people filing for family visas, I would get a 8am appointment and you would get a 9 am appointment, only because I filed in March where you filed June, but they wouldn't wait for the next delivery to schedule you and i don't know everything about your case to predict that, but it is my understanding, Also as family visas we get preference over other visas. There is a member here, her name is Saylin, talk to her, she is the Visa Ninja. along with a few others

When I search each day for packages I first do the random search without specifing a country then I specify several other countries for more packages. That's why some days my list is longer.

I would say that most of the cases that are shipped out from NVC have been there from 2-6 weeks for review as most of them are before being shipped to the designated country.

I can't give advice on CR-1 cases since I don't have any knowledge of the CR-1 process. We filed K-1 and finally will be receiving the Green Card within a few days :)

Good Luck :)

I think the wait for a interview is about the same, K-1 applications get entered into the system at the embassy, where CR-1/IR-1 gets entered at the NVC, but again this is my best guess, and really IDK. but looking at timelines, K-1s have their cases shipped, reviewed, and then appointment, we have review, appointment, and then shipped. K-1 goes directly to embassy and wait, CR-1 waits at NVC...I think, as long as we all get appointments soon i will be happy

Ahaaaaaaaaa, so those packages we see on dhl tracking have a lot of cases sent to a certain country at the same time? I thought it was one by one!! :bonk: :bonk: And I was wondering: wow, every day about 10-12 cases get sent only - that is SLOW :bonk: hhehehehehhehe

Ok, now I understand the priority date thingy. I heard that immediate family visas have preference over others; that's good :)

And Saylin - I "know" - hehehehehehhee, Visa Ninja     - awesome :))))
