Hello VJ'ers,

I started this Topic in March 2011 and on occasion I write examples of how this works since some details can get lost amongst the hundreds of post that have been made.

The best way to find the tracking number is when the NVC operator gives you the date your case has been completed and shipped to the embassy.

Example: The date they give you is September 25,2012. You would want to do a search for September 24, 2012. The 24^thshows all 25^th shipments.

1. *Shippers Reference = EXP 24 SEP2012A

2. *Date Range for Shipment From = 24 – 09 – 2012

3. *Date Range for Shipment To= This will be the present date

4. Account Number = Leave this Blank

5. Shipment Destination =Choose your country from the pull down list

6. Then Click "Track"

Shipments sent out by NVC on Fridays' can't be searched for until the following Monday.

During Holidays in America search results may not be available for a couple days after the Holiday has ended.

You can do as I did, Instead of calling NVC and being put on hold so long each time I called I would go search for shipments going out to Egypt and if I saw one then I called for an update.

Also if you leave the Shipment Date box blank it will show you 10 random shipments for that day, for a more accurate search choose your country.

Sometimes DHL changes the format for which the Shipper's Reference is written.

It can be written as shown below, some without a space and some with a space , some with A or B.

It looks like 1 waybill may contain several pieces. This one sent on the 25th contained 5. Yes I called the NVC and they sent the documents Sept 28th. We just wanted to know if they send more each date or just one shipment per day per country. Just want to make sure we have the correct shipment for Sept 28th

I tried to search through date EXP 24 SEP2012A [/b] as instructed and select the following field:

4. Account Number = Leave this Blank

5. Shipment Destination =PAKISTAN

I found only 1 case with Airbill #

It probably contains multiple cases including yours. If you look at the total weight, it's 8lbs and that's very heavy for one case alone.

Hi, I checked and on 9/25 that one was shipped and arrived on 9/29. You were correct. Most of the time when you're given a date you're able to track it as many have been successful in finding their package this way. There's no way of knowing it's your package for sure. I tell ppl to wait 1 week to see if the embassy contacts them after the package was delivered,If they haven't heard anything they should call the embassy to get an update on their case. I hope you find this to be yours and Good Luck to you

I called NVC and I was told that they sent it on the 28th as well. The package is 15 lbs so our documents are probably in there.
