According to one of the VJ members, most approvals occur approximately 45 days after receipt of the IMBRA RFE, and you are outside of that window. Hmmm! Since CSC has reverted back to processing by the NOA1 date, I'm hoping that you will not be waiting much longer. My apologies, I don't really have an answer, but I wanted to relay what I have read. According to some, touches do not mean anything, but it does feel good to know that your case is still alive… somewhere out there! Cheers!!!

I know how you feel. We've not been touched since the 27th July. :(

I know, I know, that other VJs say it doesn't mean anything, but if we could just get one touch, we could then feel that our case wasn't right at the bottom of a very large heap, and no one wants to lift it and retrieve our file, due to Health and Safety regulations!

6/05/06 - Mailed off the I29f

06/20/06 - Cheque cashed

7/07/06 - Still not received NOA1. Call CSC. They have input our address incorrectly. Give them the correct details. Also find out what our case number is from them so can check for touches!

07/13/06 - Receive RFE

07/26/06 - Email confirmation they have RFE

07/27/06 - Touched

08/23/07 - Call CSC to find out where NOA1 is and what date was on it. As it was sent to the wrong address it came back as undeliverable. They will not send it out again unless we send them a written request. However date was;

06/09/06 - NOA1

09/07/06 - NOA2 email confirmation

09/28/06 - NVC say they have sent details to US Embassy in London

12/09/06 - Sent back packet 3 recorded delivery

10/30/06 - Medical

11/06/06 - Interview confirmed 1st December!

01/17/07 - Wedding booked in Vegas

See my analysis at:

Based on NOA1 date and RFE date, you are likely to hear something this month -either approval or another RFE.

I will update the statatistics weekly, and give revised estimates.

Many do not get a touch until they get NOA2 or approval. You can try contacting them by phone but they will probably give you their caned answer "call back in 30 days". They have up to 6 months from NOA1, and if you call them you will still get the same canned answer.

Look at the Processing times chart here on VJ and on USCIS CSC website, VJ shows 138 days as average and CSC states they are looking at cases from FEB 23, though we have all seen them approving petitions from March and April. The date in the USCIS is the 6 month date, sort of a "Don't call us unless 6 months has past" message.

Just hang in there it will come soon. :)

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

CSC is definately on the slow side. Don't worry too much, and hang in there. Returned RFE's appear to be a better signal your case may be coming to conclusion and NOA-2 getting issued than touches.

Good luck and speedy approval to you!

Well I called today and basically got nothing but the run around. Now I am being told that I have to wait 6 months from the date that I file my petition. I am so pissed. If I wasn't in school right now I would go and stay with my baby until they finish giving us the run around. So now I have to wait until next month before I can put in an inquiry.
