Best of luck to everyone still waiting. Here's hoping the next 3 days will be successful for all of us. I sadly had to give up my trip to Wimbledon because they have my passport, but I did not want to complicate the process by taking it back and returning it after my trip. I hope giving this process priority over my vacation pays off...

I just don't understand why they do not simply set proper expectations at this point in the process. Why write on your website they should have all the approved passports printed by first week of july. If i knew to expect over a month wait that would have saved us checking the CEAC website feverously. If there is an additional review that has to happen after the interview then EXPLAIN that so i can set my expectations appropriately. It would not only save us all a lot of heart ache but save them what i can imagine are numerous email inquiries. It's such a horrible horrible process.

No news on my end yet....I had a pretty good meltdown last night. Everyone I see during the day are saying, 'why are you still here?' 'I thought you were already approved' etc. I'm just fed up with it all

I know what you mean. As the number of days get bigger, no changes in status among all the other things in normal life is making it impossible to be sane every second. It has been over a month for me since the interview. I was accepting an internal transfer in the company that is now being questioned since there is no new of visa and I cannot push any longer. My husband has moved to US in the hope that I will get my visa soon and all of our stuff has been shipped. I am sleeping currently on air mattress which I finally gave in to buy but it is getting expensive. The rent is over in July and I need to find a place to stay if the visa do not come by end of the month. I just can't believe after more than a year of process and check ups, there is more additional processing and causes another undefined timeline delay. I am trying to not think of it too much, I stop checking the stupid status because it just keeps making me more depressed. I can understand your pain JustaTT.

And what makes it worse is they won't answer your inquiries other than saying it's with a consular officer. I don't get it why Montreal is taking so long to process things...

June 22: CR-1 Interview at Montreal Consulate = Approved

July 6: E-mailed Consulate as status has been 'Ready" since Interview with same date

July 7: Case Status as "Ready" and Date Updated

July 13: E-mailed, no update again

July 13: Case Status as "Ready" and Date Updated

July 24: E-mailed again, no update

July 24: Case Status as "Ready" and Date Updated

July 27: Date Updates by itself still "Ready"

July 28: Get Email from Montreal US Consulate requesting to go back and redo fingerprints

July 28: Drive halfway to Montreal

July 29: Get to Montreal

July 30 (8am): Redo fingerprints, consular officer apologizes for having us comeback for fingerprints, issues us the Visa on the spot

July 30 (3pm): VISA in HAND!

August 3: Florida move!

I know eh. When the most world busiest embassies are processing so much faster. You think they would have even better process considering we are from Canada but we seem to be in the worse place. I wish they divvy the work between Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver so this excuse of we are too busy to process your inquiry via the phone or to give you any more detail can be reduced.

I just stopped at the Loomis location that my visas are supposed to go to and there's no sign of them. I'm super bummed.

Not a single "issued" from Montreal all week? What are they doing there all day? At least seeing others get their passports back gave me hope. This is getting more depressing by the day.

Yeah, this is beyond ridiculous. I don't understand how they are now telling new interviewees 7-10 days if they still haven't processed older visas...
