Does anyone have a link to the embassy email? I had emailed previously by filling out a form and they responded very quickly but for some reason I can't find that form again

Update: I just received the call from my Loomis outlet 1 minute ago that my package was in!

Oddly enough, the tracking website still says it is in Lachine? I think this just goes to show you that things may be off at the tracking level as well. I'm surprised it was this quick too!

It seems there is no rhyme or reason with the visas being issued. Some are taking longer than others, even for people with clean cases who didn't have to submit additional info. I noticed there are some people who were approved almost a week after us who have their docs and people who were approved before us still in ready status. I told my wife today I think the visas are in a back room with a giant fishbowl and they just stick their arm in for who's next lol...

June 22: CR-1 Interview at Montreal Consulate = Approved

July 6: E-mailed Consulate as status has been 'Ready" since Interview with same date

July 7: Case Status as "Ready" and Date Updated

July 13: E-mailed, no update again

July 13: Case Status as "Ready" and Date Updated

July 24: E-mailed again, no update

July 24: Case Status as "Ready" and Date Updated

July 27: Date Updates by itself still "Ready"

July 28: Get Email from Montreal US Consulate requesting to go back and redo fingerprints

July 28: Drive halfway to Montreal

July 29: Get to Montreal

July 30 (8am): Redo fingerprints, consular officer apologizes for having us comeback for fingerprints, issues us the Visa on the spot

July 30 (3pm): VISA in HAND!

August 3: Florida move!

Come on now, don't be silly..........they get a worker to park their car on the ground level, open up the top floor window, throw the applications out the window, and whichever lands dead centre on the car's hood is the one processed next.

mine was just issued yesterday and I didn't receive an email from them (was hoping, but wasn't expecting an email) yet. Although once my phone is alive and well enough I'll give them a call just to see.

Are we supposed to see any changes on the usvisainfo site? Mine still says Appointment.

My visa is currently sitting at Loomis waiting to be picked up and I am at the "Appointment" phase still too, so I wouldn't worry!

EDIT: Although, once the tracking email is sent you will see the courier shipping number on your dashboard as well.

My final update for this thread:

I finally received my visa and it is now in hand! I just picked it up from Loomis this morning and have made my arrangements to enter the US on the 21st. Just a word to those picking their packages up soon: The package you receive will feel heavy for what you think it is. Honestly, included with my passport/visa page inserted there is another sealed envelope (do not open this one) that feels as though it has the thickness of a catalogue. No joke! I am interested to see what the border official pulls out of there upon my entry.

Just wanted to extend a big thank you to all of those who have let me vent on this thread, listened to my concerns, and above all, offered their kind words. I can only lend my sympathies to those who are still waiting and to those who went through a lot to get to the final stages of receiving their visa. The immigration process is far from over for myself and others, but this the start to a new chapter in our journey. For anyone who may have questions you think I could lend some assistance on, please do not hesitate now, or in the future, to send me a PM on here.

All the best!

I really thought this week was going to be my lucky week, but now I have to go through another weekend of uncertainty. Hopefully my last. Although I'm very happy for those on here who received their visas this week. May the rest of us be so lucky come Monday...

Happy weekend all!
