Visa in hand :) They didn't even ask me for my waybill number at the DHL location. Just asked if I was picking up a passport and asked for ID. It's a relief to have it here, now I can relax for a couple months before moving.

Visa in hand :) They didn't even ask me for my waybill number at the DHL location. Just asked if I was picking up a passport and asked for ID. It's a relief to have it here, now I can relax for a couple months before moving.

Oh man, I don't know what to do. I've got my fiancee's interview schedule for the 3rd of August. I've got flights for us booked to Hawaii on the 8th, so that's the day we're supposed to cross. I'm going to be cutting it ridiculously close! Anyone know of any way I can have them print her visa more quickly?!

Oh well, I might just have to reschedule for a Thanksgiving Honeymoon!

After all, if it wasn't for VJ we'd probably still be waiting for packet 3 to arrive in the mail!

I happy to hear that you've crossed and had no problems at Pearson! Sorry you miss your family, I know it's hard. I'm sure it feels weird at first. You just need time to adjust.

Do you have a review of your POE? were they nice! what kind of questions did they ask?

We had the interview on Thursday, drove home from Montreal on Friday morning. So my husband drove home (USA) on Sunday. No Mail on the weekends in Canada! Then I got it on Monday, and my husband spun right back to me Tuesday night to take me home!

We were approved on the 18th. Still waiting for visa. I know Monday was a holiday though.

Sent I129-F to Vermont Service Center- 7/23/10

NOA1- 7/29/10

NOA2- 1/26/11

Case sent to Montreal Consulate General of the United States, Visa Unit 1/31/11

Consulate received case from NVC 2/23/11

RFE-for Canadian proof of Status 2/23/11

Packet 3 received from consulate- 3/07/11

Packet 3 sent (2nd time after a correction)- 3/28/11

Packet 3 received by consulate/Packet 4 sent- 4/8/11

We had our interview on May 11th, and still no passport/visa! I called DOS and we're in administrative processing right now :( What does that even mean? I thought we were approved! The lady had no information for me other than "it could take months or years..." What?!

I just want to be with my fiance.

Sometimes it can take a while. That is what I am worried about. I hope my fiance isn't in AP. Administrative processing can be normal and routine, or it can be because of something else. It can take a very long time. Keep calling and hang in there. I'm going to call tomorrow and see what DOS tells me. My fiance is a Peruvian and Canadian Citizen. Applicants from some countries like those in the middle east or Africa are often in put into AP.
