Great news. Congratulations, expect a call or knock (since your sent return envelop) tomorrow or Monday the latest.

From your example, I think mine would be arriving in two weeks. If I get lucky it could be next week, which I highly desire. Expecting a miracle.

Congrats, Candexan! What a struggle...

When I hear people complain about illegal immigration, and "why don't they just do it right?" I think, if they only knew...

Have you tried tracking by your reference number?

ETA: That email did mean something, by the way! Correspondence regarding anything is hard to come with Montreal.

Yes, I'm not ungrateful for the email...lol I know it's hard to get anything from Montreal. I did try the reference number but it just takes me to when I sent my passport and that it was delivered.

Wait, wait, wait....lol Will be changing my flight obviously. Live and learn.... :bonk:

My husband received an e-mail from Loomis stating his passport has been picked up, and they gave him a waybill number. They said it would be ready for pick up in a few days From the waybill,, I see his passport was picked up at 6:30 Friday evening.

Nothing from the consulate though like Candexan received. No mention of visa or the do not open package, just mention of his passport. Is this it? Is the nightmare over? It's so hard to feel positive.

This is great. Your husband sent PP on April 12 right. I sent it on April 5 through Loomis Brampton location. No email on my side yet.

Try calling DHL, when I called this morning, she said that the Reference ID is good for her to check if where my passport was.. Or check online on the DHL.ca website..

Green Giant said that they interviewed at Montreal last Monday and called DOS on Wednesday. DOS told them that the visa (K1)was issued and would be sent out shortly. Hope this helps

Jazzly, he sent the PP on April 9. From the looks of it, it should be ready to pick up by the end of the day. However, he won't be able to go get it until tomorrow.

My only explanation for why this might have happened for us sooner than you and quicker than Candexan is that we were not asked to submit any additional documentation. We were put in AP for no apparent reason, as nothing was missing from our packets. So all he had to do was submit the PP after waiting an arbitrary 65 days from the interview.

It's just so odd to me that there is no apparent standard operating procedure. Candexan hears from the consulate, but not Loomis. We hear from Loomis but not the consulate... You'd think emails would trigger automatically when statuses are changed. I don't know. This whole thing has really screwed with my head.

I had my interview on April 23 in Montreal and picked my visa/passport up in Halifax on April 27 (although it was there and ready for pick up on the 26th). I received an email saying the DHL/Loomis had picked up the passport, then I just tracked it. I was very impressed with the speed!

Terc, I know that yours was straight forward case, mine is not. Still I am assuming that my docs are now being reviewed as its almost 4 weeks and a decision will be made sooner or later. Better than sitting on the shelf. Atleast something is being done on my docs.
