Visa in hand! 7 business days from interview, standing in front of DHL now, waiting for my taxi. I'll note that once I got the waybill, I kept my eye on it. It got to the Waterloo location at 7am. I never did get the email saying it was ready for pickup, but I called and confirmed with the DHL 800 number that it was fine to go get it. My fiance will be here in a couple hours, going to POE tonight at the Bluewater Bridge!

After months of reading this thread, I am absurdly happy to be able to answer the poll finally, lol. :D

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your LIFE in the USA :)

My fiance also got an email when the DHL had picked up the passport, but not when it was able to be delivered. He called them around noon EDT and they said it was ready for pick up. Even though it's ready now, he's picking it up on Tuesday (the office is nearly 3 hours away). If he had been in Winnipeg, it would've taken 4 business days to get the passport for us -- super quick! At least compared to what I've seen on here.

Congratulations again, all! I hope POEs go smoothly.

Still no email for us. Sadly, I'm going to have to head back to the states without my fiancee b/c my vacation ends after this weekend. Thought it'd be a sure thing to get the visa by today (or at least Monday, as I could have extended my vacay by an extra day if necessary), but alas no. Hopefully it won't be too long until she joins me!

Have those who have gotten the waybill emailed to them from the consulate generally received them in the evening? I know there were a few who received them around 6pm, was just wondering if thats generally the case so i can stop checking my email religiously... haha

I found out some interesting info today when i called DoS. Apparently the consulate (Montreal only?) only sends out packages by DHL on fridays. Can anyone else confirm if they have heard anything like this? I can confirm that when i was in for my interview (Friday August 5th) the receptionist did have a bunch of visas on her desk and she was putting them in DHL envelopes.

From what I understand they are all picked up around 4-5 p.m. at the Consulate. Most emails come in the evening when they get back to the warehouse and are entered in.

They are picked up every day. I was there on a Weds and the reception girl was also there with a stack of passports. Mine was picked up on a Tues and I got it delivered the next day, Weds.

This is been2's wife. We've been waiting anxiously to hear back from DHL regarding his visa and never got an email or call from them. So he decided to call them this morning - DHL had his visa ready for pickup. He's on his way to pick it up now and hopefully, will be in Texas tomorrow.

If you haven't heard from DHL, call them. There is a chance your visa might be there.

Good luck to everyone!

Did they ask for his waybill number? Or did just you say you were expecting some mail for Mr. X?

Thanks for the tip.
