Hi Everyone - My status changed to Issued today... but it says in the comments that it "is going through necessary administrative processing". What does this mean? Am I going to have to wait endlessly yet again? I've been so traumatized by AP already.

Finally!!!

Congratulations :D

@Adam

Thanks and congrats to you as well. I wasn't in no hurry so didn't mind the wait but certainly glad it's done, finally.

To the ones that are waiting, I am told embassy Montreal is hiring more staff to help out with admin help as they are really getting back logged.

All the best and good luck!

Just had my interview on November 2nd and I will be able to pick up my passport/visa on November 7th. Took about 3 business days to process and ship. Surprised that it is so quick. Now I have to worry about packing up and crossing the border. I hope everyone else who had a recent interview will get it quick also.

Good luck!

Does anyone know how to check the status of the Green Card? I have paid the $165 fee, and received a receipt. I have not yet crossed the border, and am aware that the card will not be issued until I move. However, I still want to check the status. When I go to "Check my case status" on the USCIS website, and enter my WAC number, it just gives me the same "your case has been approved" message which is several years old. Any idea on how to check the actual Green Card status? (and yes, I did receive a receipt for my $165 payment).

I got the answer :) Basically, when you pay the fee, USCIS send you a receipt with a number on it. That number is supposed to be entered into the "check my case status" form.... Not the WAC number.

There is an ioe number you got when you paid. That is your case number for your green card, not your wac number. It also wont tell you anything until the card is produced.

Mailed in requested documents on 09/23/16, Montreal claims to have received them on 09/29/16. I contacted them via email and they told me I have to give them 8 weeks from receipt of documents to contact them again. How long as everyone else waited for them to touch the requested documents and issue the visa?

When you send your documents in and they received it, did you check your CEAC account if they have updated the date on "Status date updated"? any changes on the date? Thanks!

@ronnie28 - my date changed when they received my documents but the status won't change until they go through those documents and make a final decision. Hope that helps.
