The only one i can think of is the one that caused me delays which is--- take all original documents that they've requested for you to bring. The interview itself (for me) was 10seconds long, he asked where my husband works and that was it.

Register the appt if you have your interview date from the NVC.

Ours got issued yesterday and it arrived today at the Canada post location I chose. (In Vancouver) Super fast!

That's amazing! How fast, wow.

Anyone else receive theirs fast recently?

My interview is in a few weeks and hope to recieve it the few days following. Fingers crossed!

Yes, whichever vaccines hold relevant to you based on the information of their site - bring. For me, it was easy to get a medical history from a local Health Unit (which included vaccines over the course of my entire life, so that's good).

On the medical examiner's website it shows the particular age group and find the one you fall under and the correct vaccine information should be listed. Most likely it'll be (for most of us) your Td/TdAP, MMR, seasonal flu and varicella. :-)

One more question guys. Sorry to be pain in the back. On the site of the doctor it says bring the complete intended address in the US with zip code. So can i just write it down on the plain paper?

Krutarth, thats what i did. I typed it on Word, printed it out and took it along with me.

Timeline:

June 7th- Interview

Result- Approved but missing original birth certificate

June 7th- Mailed original birth certificate

June 8th- Offsite facility received original birth certificate

June 13th- Consulate received original birth certificate

June 29th- Requested for passport to travel

July 8th- Received passport

July 8th- (didnt need passport anymore) mailed it back to consulate

July 9th- Offsite facility received passport

July 13th- Consulate received passport

July 14th- Sent emails to inquire about case, was told to give them an additional 8 weeks from JULY 13th to process my visa :ranting: , immediately involved Congressman AND our Attorney sent letters mid-july/end of august

August 9th- Issued

August 10th- Received tracking number at 2pm

August 11th- Received Passport at 11am(Markham, ON)/Crossed border. at 7pm (Pearson Airport Toronto)

August 16th- Went to Social Security office, was told my card was mailed out August 15th and I was able to jot the SSN down (needed for work)

(For SSN, when i was completing the DOS-260, I requested for them to have my SSN processed)

August 25th- SSN came in the mail :D

October 16th, RECEIVED GREEN CARD IN THE MAIL.

Any recent reportings on how long passports/visa taking to get sent from Montreal?

We set ours up to be sent to the Post location 5 minutes walking from the consulate.

Here now - medical exam is today!!!

Hey! I had my interview last Wednesday. Status changed to "Issued" on Friday. It was just updated with the courier information about half an hour ago, and I'm getting it sent to the same place as you (800 Rene Levesque). I imagine I'll be able to pick it up by latest tomorrow.
