Wow!! I'm so sorry about the further AP. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do but wait and I know how difficult that is.

Just hope you'll hear good news really soon!! :)

We had to send additional documents to Montreal. We receieved conformation of delivery to the 'sorting facility' but does anyone know if there is an additional update given once the consulate actually recieves your paperwork? Our status right now is 'send documents'. Any additional information would be much appreciated!

Hi!!

If you check the status on CEAC you will see an update every time they touch the file, When they finish will change to "Ready" and then to "Issued".

Good luck!! :)

It seems to take anywhere from 3 to 5 business days before it gets from the remote mail location to the actual building, and then I suppose it has to get to the desk of the person with your file, and then they have to attend to it and send it off.

In my case, it was three weeks between my sending my stuff back to them and them changing my status to ISSUED. For some people it goes more quickly, and for some it takes longer, but 2-3 weeks is probably average for cases where you send them additional documentation and there are no complications.

Did anyone call or email to make sure documents were delivered from the off site facility to the consulate ?

I don't think that's something worth worrying about, at least I haven't heard of anything going missing once it's been received. It just takes a little time, like everything else :)
