Hey guys,

Quick question: my ready status says ready: Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal. If you have already scheduled an interview appointment, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the Consulate on the appointed date and time... I've noticed people getting another ready status that mentions something about if you have had an interview wait 2 business days (Chrisete, I think you had this?). I am just wondering if this is normal or if this is something I need to email the consulate about?

don't worry about the interview part, Hopefully you will get Issued by this Friday!! :star:

Thanks Idy....the panic is starting to come back. The day is almost over and I haven't heard anything. I even sent an email to the consulate this morning to ask for clarification and I didn't receive a response back...I was really hoping to get all this sorted this week.

So my case says it was updated yesterday, but is still in AP, do you think that's just because they responded to an email of mine yesterday or does it mean it was actually worked on?

I think it's because you emailed them. Whenever my lawyer, my husband or I emailed them the date would change. I am assuming that the admin who responds to our emails has to log onto to our file to see our status in order to reply. Hoping that you get a change in your status soon! Btw was your congressman ever able to get through to the consulate?

Ya they sent him back this really pretentious email that while they sympathize with people's personal situations they hope he understands they have to follow proper procedure and can't do anything to help. I took that as a very nice F off lol

I got my issued status yesterday.

I had my interview on Monday morning, Wed for issued, now lets see how fast/slow CPC is in delivering the package to Vancouver. I'm guessing I should have it by Monday.

Guys...need your opinion! Do you think I'll be able to fly out by next Friday? I have some guests flying in that weekend and really want to be there!

Hi kavi:

MTL is very unpredictable.... if you buy the ticket just make sure you are allowed to do changes. I've seen all kind of situations here. :-)

Yes, I got the code today, CPC estimates delivery on Monday. Once I get my A number I should be able to go to the USCIS website and pay the last $165 immigrant fee and start packing.
