Thanks for the reassurance Chrisete! I am really hoping that i get out of the dreaded AP phase this week! It doesn't help that the embassy will be closed Friday and Monday! The waiting game is the worst!

It will be over soon....I found weekends were the worst because you knew nothing was going to happen (but I checked anyhow :P).

For what it's worth...I don't think we have to worry about having our sealed packages tear in transit anymore!

I just got my package from Canada post, and whoever sealed it up in Montreal used packing tape to reinforce all the edges.

I find myself doing the same thing...it's so frustrating because I haven't had an update in more than a week! I am 100% sure once they actually start working on it it'll go pretty fast (as I've seen in other cases on this forum) but I just need them to get the ball rolling! Did you have a similar situation? No updates for a while then it moved pretty quick?

Thats exactly what happened...they received my documents and updated my status a week after they received them on D'Youville Street. Then 2 weeks to AP, then it changed to Non Immigrant from Immigrant, just like everyone said it would and then to Issued in about 2 days...once it starts changing your heart starts beating like crazy...It will go really fast. I still check it from time to time cause I just like to see the word, "Issued".

I told myself that its going to probably take 6 weeks and that way when it came in early, it was total relief and a lot less painful. You will proably have your ball rolling next week...but tell yourself, 6 weeks. Trust me on this....praying for you to hear even sooner than I did!

got my passport today !! ... as said before packing tape was used to seal all the edges, there does look as if it was starting to tear on the seem but its under the tape they put on, and all of the seems are in tack, so im not going to worry about it, its clear i didnt taper with it seeing as its under the tape they put on, and it is also atttched to the paper they tape to the front, so if i had taken it off the paper would have shown some damage as well .. not sure why they would think we're the ones opening it anyway, not like its useful to us to see in it haha ..

As soon as i got it i put it right back in the mailer and into a cardboard box where it will stay until i cross so that no more chance of rips or damage, since there is still quite a bit of exposed envelope im nervous about.. I plan to just hand it to them in the mailer and say that's exactly how it came if they say anything about it, which i doubt they will since its barely noticeable you'd have to be looking for it( which i was from seeing this post!)

I hope mines coming up next! It's been about 2 weeks of updates every few days. Last updated yesterday but still in AP. They told me by email yesterday give them 8 weeks but I'm really really hoping for sooner!

Fingers crossed! When was your interview? Did you have to send any documents in? If you did when did they receive it? Trying to figure out what kind of system they are using...Tsanborn had her interview March 7th and got hers in the mail yesterday...

I had my interview July 15th. They misplaced our i864 letter but never let us know for 7 months so I had to redo my medical exam and police clearance. They received the new copies March 4th but are only claiming to have gotten them March 15th. So pretty much starting over from scratch, out of the 8 weeks they're telling me to wait we're only 1 down ?

omg that is so annoying...I've been finding their communication to be really bad! Hopefully it's not 8 weeks for you..I feel like we are almost on the same timeline (they received my package on the 11th of march) but I haven't seen anything change on my case yet! Let's hope we get some good news next week and we can go be with our husbands!
