First time they sent it, I received tracking number at 1:15pm EST (email from us visa-info.com). The second time they send it, I received the email at 11:39am EST.

You should be receiving it any time. While it won't be searchable on the Canada Post website until the package is actually picked up, you can search for it by searching your passport number as the Reference Number.

Still nothing...! I even tried the Canada Post search like you suggested, but nothing turns up. Since it was issued/final processing Tuesday around 2pm, and xpresspost should only take a day from Montreal to Toronto, I'm tempted to just turn up at the post office and ask them to check anyway.

This visa process is easily the most frustrating experience known to man.

Nope, nothing on the site. I called in to ask about it, but apparently they see the same information I did. Canada Post also doesn't show anything with the passport as the reference number either....

I literally just hung up with the post office, begging them to check for me, and my email alert rang. Voila, a tracking number!

I'm not sure joining my husband in the US was worth all this obsession and stress.....

Hi Everyone!

Hoping you can shed some light on my situation.

Feb 29th --> I had my interview in Montreal. The officer told me to submit another version of my marriage certificate but said everything looks okay and I should be approved within 2 weeks of submitting my additional documents. (CEAC site had put me in AP by this time)

March 1st --> Additional documents mailed

March 2nd --> Documents were received by the offsite mailing facility

March 11th --> Had an update on my case (AP March 11th)

March 18th --> Sent an email to the embassy and their response was that the documents were received on March 11th and has been forwarded for review! They also told me that I should allow up to 8 weeks for processing!

For those of you in this position (I am applying for a CR-1 Immigrant visa), does it in fact take 8 weeks? The interviewing officer made it seem like it would be such a painless process.

I am a k1 but had to submit additional documents as well. They told me up to 8 weeks as well but it turned out to be 2...not horrible and then it went very fast from issued to in my hands. I had to send the package back though because of tears in it from Canada post but that was only a week. I understand though how every day feels like a panic attacked eternity. Hang in there. This forum will help you keep your sanity.

Thanks for the reassurance Chrisete! I am really hoping that i get out of the dreaded AP phase this week! It doesn't help that the embassy will be closed Friday and Monday! The waiting game is the worst!
