Waiting for our passports from Montreal

Here's a question...I was approved last Monday on March 7th in Montreal.

My status on CEAC shows Issued as of today (yay) but the blurb underneath it reads:

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. As the officer told you in the interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment.

Shouldn't it say something about final processing instead? Am I just too hyper about this and the paragraph will change on it's own? My status has never shown administrative processing at any point - I know, because I think I check every half hour or so.

That means it's being printed today. Tomorrow the subtext will update to Final Processing - if you haven't received in 5 days blah blah blah.

So the consulate received my 2nd medical exam and police check feb 29th, my case was looked at the 8th and 9th and then nothing since... I'm tempted to email them but maybe I'm just being impatient? Lol ugh this process is so frustrating!

Frustrating for sure. Can't hurt to email them. Hopefully you get issued soon!!!

yes! I got it yesterday...still a manila envelop but a little bit larger...now the mad rush to get my house up and on the market and book a mover and get over the border...oh yes, and I had the flu last week and now have bronchitis....this process is so much fun You should get yours today.

Got my package!

They used a plastic bag type envelope this time which was bigger. Looks like they also used a bigger manilla envelope and used a lot more tape.

Baaaaaahhhhh, I KNOW I'm being impatient, but the waiting has gotten harder the further I am along in the process, and I just want to book my flight out already!!!

My CEAC status changed to ISSUED yesterday around 2pm...and I want my tracking number so I can obsessively check the progress of that! How long does it take for the tracking number email to come?

Has it changed to Issued with the subtext saying Final Processing?

Here is how it went for me:

2/29 - Issued - Mandatory AP

3/1 - Issued - Final Processing

3/2 - Received tracking info.

You should receive tracking info the day after the issued subtext updates to final processing.

Yes, it showed the final processing bit yesterday....so today is the day after and I'm dying to just storm Canada Post already.

First time they sent it, I received tracking number at 1:15pm EST (email from us visa-info.com). The second time they send it, I received the email at 11:39am EST.

You should be receiving it any time. While it won't be searchable on the Canada Post website until the package is actually picked up, you can search for it by searching your passport number as the Reference Number.

I emailed them for an update yesterday and never got a response but I see my case was looked at yesterday. Still on AP though, yesterday also marked 8 months since my interview ????
