Waiting for our passports from Montreal

yes...I emailed the embassy with the pics and will wait to hear what they have to say....my nerves can't really take much more I'm afraid...I'll even go and pick it up at this point.....silly and getting desperate with all I have to do...so glad you said something though, I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

No good news...I have to send the package back to the Embassy with my passport. Do you know if you put in that scanned page again or have to pay for it to be expedited to you.

They want me to write a letter to say what happened. All I can say is that I received it this way and wrote the Embassy who told me to send it back to be repackaged....is that what you you did?

Dang. I'm sorry to hear that!

So I just put the envelope and my passport, and wrote a little note saying Canada Post ripped the envelope, and I was advised to send it back in to have resealed.

I wouldn't think we would have to pay to have it expedited to us again. My package should be delivered to the consulate tomorrow.

Did they give you any idea on how long it takes? I'm still trying to find that out.

Thank you so much....what a roller coaster ride this is! Thank you for your encouragement. They should have it tomorrow.....I guess I'm a wee bit grumpy since I have the flu and am just trying to muster through it and also get my house ready this weekend to put up for sale next week....if anyone needs a diet, they should just go through this process I'm glad I read what Morgan wrote though cause all I looked for was the foil in my visa and didn't even think to check the packaging!! Thanks Morgan.

Just a few more hiccups and I guess then the move which should be a breeze after this. I keep thinking about that tag line a poster has on her signature line, "this will not be over quickly, you will not enjoy this"....oh boy does she have it right

Believe me I know how you're feeling. except the diet part... for me has been the opposite! I'm in a "Seafood Diet"... "I SEE food and I eat it!! Lol!!!

About my file something is definitely happening, they posted updates on Friday, yesterday and today. I'm happy for that, however I just lost 2 family members in less than a week and my husband could not be here, He's not allow to enter until the AP process is over.

We haven't received any notification from the consulate yet. but knowing they are working on the file give me a lot of hope this might end soon.

!!!.. my friend!! thank you for the good wishes but before seeing "Issued" first they need to request a new medical exam and new police records because the one they have is expired and also they need to request his passport. Hopefully nothing else! anyways I'm looking at the positive side, they are working on the case after 10 months waiting...

Well, my package was delivered back to them this morning. Kind of funny, the address appears to be a UPS store. I'll start emailing them tomorrow to see what's going on.

Me too! Keep me posted if you hear/see any updates. I am not sure if our CEAC status will update, or what will happen to be honest. I tried emailing the consulate to ask how long it would take, etc, but they didn't reply.

I will surely let you know....I know, don't call me Shirley But as soon as I hear anything, I will let you know. Based on my last go around submitting that missing document, it took about 6 days for them to open it after it arriving and then another 2 weeks to update my case....so, I'm thinking, it should be returned next Friday if all they have to do is repackage or tape it up (like I could have done that)...trying to find some humour here, but my nerves are about fried with everything else I have to do....get my house ready to sell (and I have the flu), put it up for sale, quit a job....evict a crazy tenant from my basement (got that done today, yeah, me and a very good legal team).....
