Tore a little bit like on the side and you can tell it's just from handling and nothing could come in or out? if it's just that it should be OK.

It's around 5cm... I suppose if I folded a piece of paper numerous times I could fit something in there. Nothing was coming out for sure. I emailed the picture of the tear to the consulate and they told me to send it back. Sucky.

Well....I could say something smart but this is not fun....just get it off as soon as possible and I pray this is the last in a very long wait for you....hang in there and get it done right. I think they wille expedite it so you should have it back in no time flat....good luck!!

I sure hope so!! Heading to Purolator in a few minutes and will be sending it express so they have it by Wednesday morning. I'm assuming I mail it to the 315 Place D'Youville address.

I wasn't really sure what to include lol so I wrote a piece of paper with the case info, and said Canada Post ripped it, and was advised to have it sent back and resealed.

Hoping this doesn't take 2 or 3 weeks.

I sent my missing document to D'Youville Street as well so its the right address. My tracker said it was received on February 3rd although they didn't 'get' it until February 9th but I sent them a very nice email asking if they had received it yet. They sent me back an email saying that they didn't have it yet on the 8th, but then they sent me another email stating that they had it on the 9th so they may have gone looking for it. It might be worth your while to send in an email as soon as you know it is there so they can go and get it for you and it doesn't get processed with the rest of the normal crush of mail they probably get on a daily basis.

oh no...I just double checked mine and it has a small tear in in too from the handling.....I want to scream....I only have till the 9th of June to get over the border....

Hopefully yours is smaller than mine was. I'd advise emailing the consulate with a picture to get their take of it... Hopefully yours is small enough that you're good.

I'll be pissed if it happens again. To be honest it looks like the reason it tore is the envelope is just a tiny bit too small for the shipping envelope.
