I got the notification that my package is ready to be picked up!! Unfortunately the post office is only open Monday to Friday! But I'm going first thing Monday morning! Woohoo!!

Hi All,

As you can see in our signature, we were advised to submit a CV and were issued a 221g.

After 3 weeks from submitting the documents, the case status date changed yesterday which got my hopes high and i was hoping that the status might change from AP to Ready today. But i guess it was just a random update.

Has this happened to other people as well? Please advise.

Hoping to see more inputs on this.

Im back to checking the ceac every day.

I was told during the second interview I should get my medical in before feb 14th because that is when my police check expired.

They received my medical on Monday and it was last checked on the 28th.

They have another two weeks but I'm hoping to hear by next week. They just have to look at my medical. Everything else is fine...I'm actually annoyed its taking this long because everything is done. I've had two interviews and the second was such a waste of time. I feel like I went all the way to montreal to confirm my identity in person...which should have been done by the retine scan and finger prints in the first interview.

If they dont get it back to me before my police check expires I'm just going to get my passport back. I'll continue the process after we return from Taiwan and wait to get the IR1 in may.

See..Tuesday or Wednesday you should have your passport.

And don't worry consulate will send you an email saying Canada Post has it..once it arrives at pick-up location, check your email again and give them the bar code and say to pick up visa envelope.

Yeah that non-working link on the Issued pop-up is annoying. I have to trust there will be an email at some point! Is there a "your document will arrive [DATE]" email AND a "your document is ready for pick-up" email? I would love to book my flight...

Well they email when they had it off to CanadaPost. Once they have it they email you. Both times they give you the Canada Post tracking number. So then you can track it like any other Canada Post package. And it is sent as an express post package so it should be quick enough. I got the email on a Thursday afternoon and it was ready for pickup the next day at noon but I live right beside Montreal.

The fact you had to go back to a second interview for basically nothing is so silly.

But in all honesty, if they received your medical on 25, you can expect a few weeks of waiting. it seems to take this long, if not more, for this stuff to go through which is just ridiculous because something so small should take 5 minutes and be done with!!!

I sincerely hope you get good news soon! i still can't get over how long you have been at this. i have my fingers crossed you get issued before the 14th!

Get the police certificate now, don't wait!!! You never know what is going to happen...at least you have it and ready to send. My lawyer advised me to get it before my waivers were approved, when I got it...2 weeks later, Waivers approved

Honestly, If the visa doesn't come in the next two weeks then I will getting my passport back anyways. I wont be in a rush because the reason I wanted to go the US right away was so I could go to Taiwan with my husband. If I don't get the stamp, I have to go to Taiwan by myself from Toronto.

When we return from Taiwan, I would continue the process and get the police check in April and then wait until everything is done...whenever that would be.

They have been updating my account and since its just one thing, I hope its done. I know other people have been taking longer but from the impression they gave me during the interview (and I am sucker for believing them) it seems like I will get it on time.
