So it's been two weeks since they logged in my 221g stuff, and my husband is flying to California tomorrow with one of the cats.

If I get an update today, the other cat and I will stay with friends in town until my passport arrives; if not I will head up to my parents' in Kamloops.

Our stuff has been packed and loaded on a big truck, and I have no idea when I'll see it again (let alone my husband and my cat, after tomorrow).

I know this is trivial compared with what so many of you guys have had to endure, but after being in the same job for 20 years and the same house for 10, I'm finding it really unsettling to not know where I'm sleeping tomorrow night, or when I'll be able to cuddle my cat (I've had the cat longer than the husband, and I'm a bit unreasonable about him I guess!).

I had my interview July 15th, and have been on admin processing ever since. My medical and police check are now expired. About 3 weeks ago I emailed the consulate and have yet to hear back from them. My husband has emailed his state senator and hasn't heard anything back. Is there anything else I can do?

Hi!

What email address are you using for the consulate? The immigrant Visa dep. "usually" answer really soon. even though the response is like an automatic email saying "Still on AP, you need to wait".
Tell your husband to contact his congressman. I haven't obtained any positive results with mine and the consulate gave him the same answer, just in a nicer way. but every case is different.

Oops sorry for that ^

I used the Montreal-iv-dv@state.gov but haven't gotten any reply. I guess I'm just getting really frustrated and annoyed because people's turn arounds are so much faster and I'm going on almost 7 months my stuff is now expired.. I don't understand what's going on

I fully understand your frustration... my husband's interview was May/ 21. They told him to wait 2 or 3 weeks.... So far, Nothing

Visa was approved! I wanted to post a review but for some reason its telling me I ned to register first, which I already am. Maybe its because Im on a mac. I dont use macs and cant even find the damn apostrophe.

Anyway it went very smoothly. My job history didnt even come up. He was very nice and I was done in about five minutes. Current wait is 2 weeks to receive the visa. Thanks everyone!! Ill post again when I receive it

I have no problem using macs, Are you referring to https://ais.usvisa-info.com

Yes, you need to register..otherwise consulate would not send your passport.
