Wow so your interview was a day after mine and it already says issued today?? I wonder mine still says "READY" on CEAC. Prayers its going to update sort of late??

Well it said issued even last night but underneath talked about going through nessicary administrative processing. Now it says issued with a message about final processing. I don't know. Might be different people doing them and they do it different. I'm at a loss to explain a lot in this process.

You are issued, just wait for the tracking confirmation..if you don't hear from the consulate by Friday, you will call DOS for more information..by the way Monday is MLK holiday so no work for neither offices.

I don't understand, all these quick approvals..some has to wait for months + its so irritating, simply unfair..very upset looking at it.

Guess I will wait and see.

I couldn't see much beyond the little room I was in. There were two people doing interviews for immigrant visas though.

Thanks everyone for reply..

my interview was started at 8:40am and ends at 10:20am (pretty quick)

yesterday was my interview, i got 221(g) refusal ,for CV document. :(

There were few things happens in interview which made me little confused now.

My interview time was 9:30am, and i read on VJ that; they send ppl back if you are to early. so i decided i will go there at 8:30am to just check how long is line out side the door, if there are many ppl standing then i ll go to near by starbucks and spend some time there then come back at 9am.

But when i reached interview place i was surprised no one standing outside then i thought might be ppl lined-up inside. so i reached near to door and a person opened the door for me and asked me "am i here for interview", I said yes and they kind of dragged me inside and start the process, like from morning no one came to them for interview  lol.

So i was inside the building at 8:40am, So my suggestion is just give a try to go early might be you get lucky to enter early.

on the main door guy asked me switch off the phn. i said, i am not have with me. but i was surprised that there was a place where you can keep your phone with them and they will give you a token number, this information i not found on VJ., but still good idea is to leave your phn in hotel with baggage area, i did that.

then after main door security check i was redirected to basement area for elevator, and told that go to 19th floor and sit in middle area. reaching to 19th floor there were appx 10 ppl were sitting in middle chairs area and few of them were standing in row on left side(those were for visitors visa).

at 9:15am my number called for interview on windows 12 (last one), Lady asked me for my original documents

medical,

2 pics

passport,

ds864,

marriage cert,

birth cert,

police cert,

sponsor tax doc,

ds260

Then she scanned my right hand and left hand and both thumbs. and after she verify few information my name, my wife name, sponsors name, USA address, my Canada address. then she asked me in which year i got married i said 2014, she replayed "o you are recent got married" , I was little surprised with her this reply . after reading all ds864 doc, then she said sit back in main hall we ll call you soon. I asked her do you need photocopy for documents as they asked me in a emails to make photo copy of important documents. but she said no she dont want that was again surprising  reply for me. because i ready on VJ ppl got hard time, if they not brought photocopy of asked document. My suggestion is dnt take risk make photocopy of each asked documents.

at 9:40am my number again called for interview on windows no 7, this time there was a young officer, he was nice and friendly,

After looking at my doc in computer, he started asking me questions

When i came to Canada.

What status i came to Canada.

what is my current status in Canada. (work permit)

Have i ever lived in USA more than 6 months.(no)

Have i ever had issue on boarder.(no)

who is sponsoring (father in law)

When did I meet her for the first time.

Where we meet first time.

When did i meet her last time.(dec 2015)

What she doing in USA.(studding)

What she studding and where.

Is this first marriage for both of you.(yes)

Who is my sponsor-er for file.(my father in law)

What is my job.(IT)

Where i am working.

what job field i am in.(computer Networking)

Was you doing same job in back home(India) and have experience too.(yes)

Have i ever refused entry into US. (I said yes in 2014 i apply for USA visitor visa and i was refused and i have that doc with me - he said yes i can see it here too.)

(some answers i not typed here in upper questions, kind of personal info :innocent: )

Now the main part:

then he asked a document which i was not asked before in any email from USCIS to NVC to Montreal that was CV(resume). The time when he asked i was little stunned, why he asked for CV. I said; "sir i am not having with me right now".

I have 100+ documents with me except CV, i was so depressed that time, feel like my brain stopped working only ears were working to listen.

then he star typing and printed 2 documents.

He said; we need your CV to check your job profile. that's why i am giving you 221(g) refusal and putting your file in Administrative Process(the time when he said administrative process I was completely frozen, Because in VJ i read alot about AP is a very bad situationist). Then he said send us CV and your file will be again in process and i am keeping you passport for visa processing, AP takes 60 days or more but right now AP status is 2 to 3 week going on, so once you send us CV then your process starts for Visa. In the end I asked do you need photocopy of documents and he also said no .

then i said thank you and left the room.

I came out from building at 10:20am.

Last night i sent them CV and today morning i got reply that

"Kindly note we have received the attached document and it has been forwarded for review. As soon as we have an update on the status of the case we will gladly advise you."

They not took any photocopy of my documents.

They kept my passport.

and they put me in Administrator Process, because of CV

CEAC showing Administrator process too.

Now what is suggestion for me, what should i do?

You don't have to do anything but wait. :)

FYI regarding photocopies, the photocopies are for us. So if you give an original to them, you have a copy for yourself for reference or in case you have to send again. Also so if they are looking at a document and talking about it, you can follow along if they need to ask you about something.

Hope it will not take you too long! I am now one day behind you (they logged in my additional document today, sent via courier) so I hope we both get great news very fast!

you are right.

that's the only thing which giving me positive hope.....

and i also find something about 221(g) refusal

hope this will help

according to this website.. http://visarefusal.com/221g/

A widely applicable phenomenon has been administrative processing for applicants, usually scientists, researchers, and businessmen, who may be exposed to technologies in the United States which fall under the Technology Alert List. The US does not want sensitive technologies to fall into the wrong hands. In such cases, the applicant is requested to provide an English-language resume, list of publications, and description of the proposed work to be done in the US, which is forwarded to Washington. Individuals who hail from certain countries, such as Iran, Syria, Sudan, must be cleared by Washington. Quite often, these clearances are a formality and simply a question of time to run through the interagency gamut. However, for certain types of clearances, the visa validity period may be limited.

this website also supports upper website information .. https://www.ias.edu/campus/vvs/alerts-tech

I am a IT person, so i think thats why office put me in AP for more information about Technology Alert List (TAL) check

FYI regarding photocopies, the photocopies are for us. So if you give an original to them, you have a copy for yourself for reference or in case you have to send again. Also so if they are looking at a document and talking about it, you can follow along if they need to ask you about something.

Hope it will not take you too long! I am now one day behind you (they logged in my additional document today, sent via courier) so I hope we both get great news very fast!

ya this makes sense

figures crossed, hope soon

So I got an email yesterday from the consulate and then CPC that my package/passport has been sent to me. CPC shows on their site that the package is en route to the post office now. So not sure when I will be able to go pick it up. I live just outside Montreal so obviously barely and transit time. The post office closes at 5pm today and I don't normally leave work till 6pm. So I either will leave early or it will be on Monday. I picked the post office close to my house just because. I guess I should have taken one close to my office maybe.

I never got any information at the interview about the green card fee. A lot of people say they get another letter with info about paying the fee. I just got the welcome to the US letter. I hope the info is with the package I am getting today.

Great news brentos!!!

My interview was a day before yours and I was approved and CEAC is still saying "READY" and visa-info still says Current Status - Appointment. Its been over 72 hours and my passport hasn't left the consulate and no status has been updated. Its ridiculous and no one has any answers for me. You're very lucky you were a day after me and yours has made so much progress!!

Ok so it just refreshed to "ISSUED" Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. As the officer told you in the interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment.

What was your process for changing of statuses online after this brentos? Like did you get the tracking email the same day later at night after you saw this status? I'm hoping its like completed and late to update online and its actually mailed out today because they won't be doing anything on monday due to MLK day.

Ok so another update...now its changed to "ISSUED" final processing. But the link isn't active just like you said yours wasn't. But you received an email later that night and there was a lag between the status and the email right?

So mine switched first to the admin processing one and then the day after that the final processing one. Then the next day I got an email saying that they had sent my packet with a tracking number. Then a few hours later an email from CPC about them getting the shipping info. Then that night I got an email that they had picked it up.

So I don't know if yours will ship out today. And Monday is a holiday for them. But it should ship on Tuesday if not today I would think.

I just went to the post office now and picked mine up. I am pretty excited! Mind you there is a slight tear already in envelope on the edge but it is very small and you can pretty much tell it is from handling. So I don't think that will be an issue.

My one thing is that on the envelope there is a yellow sheet and it has an "Alias" for me which is basically my name with my middle name (my passport and drivers license don't have it, only my birth certificate but I did give it) but they spelled my last name wrong there...like a typo. Not sure if I should call DOS or if it should be fine and I tell them at the border.

I hope yours shipped soon!
