I had sent an email asking for my passport to be returned this morning and recieved an email asking for an second interview for next Tuesday at 10 am.

Any one know what usually happens at a second interview?

I hope this is good news.

Nothing was mentioned about up dated documents.

I hope that isnt the case though...such a pain. Especially since I need two police checks because I lived in canada and the uk.

Hi Priya!!

I think it's good. I remember seeing 3 or 4 post about it. the most recent was ray of sunshine, they called her for a second interview after just 3 months of the first one. for what i have read they go thru the same things and probably will request new medical and police reports. Hope you finally get an issued soon after. please keep me posted. as you can imagine I'm desperate for any information, next week it will be 8 months that we have been waiting.

Hi!!

yeap... 8 months on Administrative Processing for unknown reasons. my husband had a good interview and the CO told him "everything looks fine, wait 2 or 3 weeks". but they gave him a 221g. They never requested any additional doc. and the worse part is they only update the case when i send an email. I tried with my congressman but they answered the same to him. " Still under AP, you need to wait" :-(

That is way beyond waiting time. Its very frustrating, I am feeling it right now..I am so mad!! I hope neither of us have to wait any longer, Its hitting my nerves....

What is the 221g for? If you are kept waiting, soon you will need to update docs such as affidavit, medical.

221g is a document they give for many reasons like missing documents, additional information or just because they will do a background check. in our case they never specified. My husband was born in Cuba. but has been in Canada for more than 15 years, is Can Citizen and has been here in US many times visiting. we had to present his police records from both Countries. now both reports are expired (medical and police) we are waiting for the consulate to request the new ones.

If I were you, as my lawyer instructed me to do..Get the police records when ever you can, it will expire in one year anyways $65 for Canada. I did mine mid October and Consulate emailed me Nov 23 to sent all requested docs along with my passport on Dec 8. For medicals, there is nothing you can do but wait for the request, because Consulate really wants recent results. For Montreal panel, it will takes 3 days for the exam to be ready...

I have no idea why my response didnt show up.

I'll definitely keep you updated. I dont think I need to bring updated info to the interview since I was already approved but Im nervous about that. I know my police checks are good - I checked the dates - but my medical expired Dec 29th :-/
