Just found this thread and wanted to weigh in :-). My husband had his interview in Montreal on December 17 for his CR1/IR1 visa. Apparently it was quick and painless (which was a relief!), and he was approved right on the spot. We registered for the courier before his interview, and paid the $22 to have it sent to our in-laws' place in Ontario where we've been staying. After the a few days went by, we checked the CEAC website and it said "issued" as of December 21, but no tracking info yet.

I knew everything would be a little delayed from the holidays, but as of today the status is still the same with no tracking number. The folks at the visa appointment services call center say they can only see the same info as us, and to keep checking CEAC status. We've been checking our email/junk folders, etc, and still nothing. Wondering if its normal to be stuck in "issued" limbo for this long without any tracking info? Getting a little worried :-/

Have you check the ais.usvisa-info.com to see if you got the tracking number or email the consulate because its already 5 days.

Yes we have been checking the status there but no tracking info - just says "check ds 260 status", and the current status still says "Appointment". I sent the Montreal Consulate a message through their public inquiry form since they don't accept phone calls, so we'll see if they get back to me. Our status updated date just changed from the 21st to 29th on CEAC, though, so here's hoping that's a good thing.

I sent you a private message back, but yes we did get our passports today. sent separately, who's ever bright idea that was! one arrived at the facility at 130 ish, the other at 3... i was so worried i wouldn't have both today. the woman at Canada post also began to mention that the address of my daughters didn't match mine, it matched their location... and i stopped her right there as someone else here on VJ was told the same thing and had to send theirs back to the consulate! I was not leaving today without both of those visa's LOL.

POE tonight at peace bridge was smooth. we had a uhaul with just really my personal belongings, clothes, my daughters toys, keepsakes... really no furniture since our home in buffalo is fully furnished. in and out within 30 minutes, although no one really friendly to brag about. but all in all, very happy to be home with a nice cold beer opening late christmas gifts!

okay, so i am assuming the 22 update was them receiving your courier document. mine only took a day as well for it to be processed at their offsite facility, and the very next day was in the hands of the consulate. So that means today's update (the 29th) may have just been them working on it. which is good news! considering, they have been off since the 24th. In all honesty though, considering the time it took for me and rayofsunshine to get issued, you might not be issued this week, (then again, we had to deal with thanksgiving and christmas) but next week looks promising. just stay positive... that is really all you can do. it could be this week, if not, then next week i think for sure. this is really the busiest time for them, especially since there are a lot of tourist visa's being dealt with during the holidays.

please know i have had my fingers crossed for you, and even though i've been issued, and am officially in the states, I still have my fingers crossed!!!! hang in there!:)

November 16 2015: Interview in Montreal

Result: Approved, but additional documents requested

November 25: Documents received by consulate

December 29: Visa's in hand!

January 11: Applied for SSN

January 18: Sent out I-485 packet

January 19: Received SSN card

January 29: Received text notification that I-485 package has been received

Which POE are you using? went through the Port Huron POE and it was really good. Easy and quick processing with only a few simple questions and they didn't even check our U-Haul. You just let them know at the booth that you're immigrating on a fiance visa and they'll tell you to pull off and go inside.

A very easy drive, but a long one for sure. Congratulations on your visa! :)

I'm in New Brunswick, so we'll be crossing at Houlton, Maine. It's a smaller POE but hopefully it will go as smoothly as it did for you! I'm thinking of calling ahead to ask if there are any forms I can fill out ahead of time, which will also serve to give them a heads up in case they haven't processed a K1 in a long time...

Our interview was December 18 and our status on CEAC was updated to ISSUED yesterday. We were emailed a tracking number this morning. If you have been assigned a tracking number you should be able to see it on AIS under status next to the applicant's name. Hope this helps!

We finally do have a tracking number on the AIS website, but for the longest time it was "check DS 260 status"...which concerned me because we had been "issued" since the 21st, and no sign of tracking info. Congrats on being issued though! Glad they're catching up on their mail.

Wait, you were issued the 21st and still no tracking info??!!! That must be difficult... I am really sorry to hear that. I wonder what is going on... it is really annoying that there isn't a phone number to speak with an actual person, especially in this situation. Hoping you hear something soon.

Thanks!! We finally did get a tracking number - I emailed the consulate last night and they replied with the number this morning. Makes me wonder if it got lost in the shuffle. According to Canada Post, they created a label but it hasn't been shipped yet. Would loved to have received it before New Years, since we have a long road trip to California and need to hit the road ASAP...but at least it made its way to their mail room, I suppose :-/. Glad everything worked out for you guys finally! This process has been insane but thank god it's almost over.

Explain to me about the post office wrong addresses with that lady that almost refused to release. Like what address, just make up one..I really want know what's the deal..thanks

the address on my daughters package didn't match mine. it was the canada post location :S

ive read this happened to a few others. so i was prepared for a fight if i had to! but she just did something in the computer (i honestly don't know what) and then had me sign for both packages.

if this happens to you, make sure you do NOT leave without your visa! i think they are just still working out the kinks of switching to canada post, and some of the employee's seem to understand the importance of the package and the process and others are still learning.

Hey guys,

Just FYI... Rebecca's visa got delivered to the post office this morning. The tracking said estimated delivery would be January 4, and a CPC employee said it would actually take longer than that, so we were thrilled when we saw it was delivered! Rebecca went and picked it up... Hopped on a train... And is now in route to the airport to catch a 5:30pm flight to the USA!

Issued this morning!!!!

Haven't checked CEAC in days just to take a mental vacation from the anxious anticipation, then received an email this morning from ais-visa info with my tracking #, and then another email from CPC an hour later.

SUPER relieved and excited!!! You all have been a great source of moral support in this insanely stressful time, and I am thinking of everyone who is still waiting in this awful limbo.

I will keep everyone posted on pick up and POE at Montreal Trudeau airport.
