Another day is gone and no change, the senator was told my file is with an adjudicating officer and this matter should be solved soon. I don't know if I should take that as a good sign or another bs they tell us so we can back off. And to know no visa can be printed until December 29th is just heartbreaking. I guess Happy Holidays to you all, maybe we will join our loved ones in the new years.

It could be bs, but it may also be progress in the right direction.

And the 29th may only apply to new visa's done recently! our cases have been there since November... some good news has to come!

November 16 2015: Interview in Montreal

Result: Approved, but additional documents requested

November 25: Documents received by consulate

December 29: Visa's in hand!

December 29: POE at Peace Bridge

January 5: Married!!!! (L)

January 11: Applied for SSN

January 18: Sent out I-485 packet

January 19: Received SSN card

January 29: Received text notification that I-485 package has been received

February: Additional documents requested

May 25: Advance Parole granted (pointless, in my case)

June 3 2016: Green Cards received!!

Well, no update for me...As we are all waiting to get approved to see our family. I am wondering what are they doing in the consulate, Xmas party and spilled cocktails on the printer machine??

I dont hate at all, but really?? if new processing get the visa before us waiting that's not fair at all

By the way as I mentioned, I am feeling stupid not embarrassed for sending those DOS courier documents to the consulate...hope its a good thing rather than asks for it later...

Have a good weekend everyone..!!

I hope it's a progress in the right direction. The last time there was an issue with their system everyone was affected and those who sent in additional documents were stuck for 8 weeks. But I hope you are right and will just continue to be optimistic.

? at the spilling cocktails who knows. I did email them saying how unfair it is, but they reply back saying every case is different. So I guess it might seem unfair to us but to them it ain't, and they don't care since they think are doing their job right.

You did really said that..I thought I wouldn't go over his/her authority who ever works behind the counter...I guess I am going to unleash myself, tell it how I feel. Like I say, we all want the best for everyone but sometimes they don't see the priority like ours who has family, waiting for the loves to come home, and who knows how many sham marriage had been approved, because every case is different blah blah --Give me a break!!

So, ray of sunshine. How did you start with the politicians to help you?

When you been waiting and you have no clear answer you email them anything and everything. But as you can see nothing as changed I'm still waiting. All you have to do is tell your petitioner to contact her congressman or senator they will make her sign privacy act of release form and explain what she needs them to do. From there they will email Montreal on your behalf. They usually email them back sometimes with the same answer like the one they tell you but in a different tone.

OMG.... I am glad I am not alone. I am stuck at second "READY" . I have no clue what that is. From reading around on VJ it "seems" like a good thing but I have been waiting and loosing patience everyday they dont work on our applications.

That is what I keep reading. I am just annoyed that why (IF AT ALL) they are not printing the visas till 29th Dec? Is the embassy closing for the holidays?

I think the consulate generates a return label once the passport is ready. So i wouldn't worry too much:)

I sent my stuff in five days before they switched from loomis to CPC, and i haven't been notified to send anything via canada post to generate a return label.

I think you are right Jenn, I feel stupid. I thought consulate require me to send it. After reading deeper, I realized its for me to ask the courier staff to generate a retun label for me to send my docs. sigh

I was under the impression from their website that they only close the 25th and the 1st, but I could be wrong?

If they are in fact not processing any more visa's until the 29th, maybe they are backed up? It is also the busiest time of the year for Canada Post, so that may not help either.

Hopefully this only applies to very recent visa applications though, and not to those of us who are still waiting from weeks/months ago.

Don't feel stupid. It is better to be safe than sorry! It doesn't hurt to make sure you've covered everything. And it also won't do anything to affect your case either, I'm sure.
