Yes that's when it was received, last Tuesday it did change BC I emailed them. But this time I don't know what triggered the change.

Turns out my lawyer emailed them this morning. So I guess I don't have to wonder anymore I know why that status was updated to today's date.??

I know how you feel, I was thinking to request my passport back and just travel for the holidays. But my lawyer said since I'm an intended immigrant there might be a possibility they will not allow me to come in. Since we are almost at the finish line it's just better to be patient. Like you said there is 3 days left in this week. And also 3 into next week. I hope someone there would have a heart and give us all our Xmas gift before Xmas day?

No touch today, I checked ceac 4x times again...it would be big if everyone gets it for xmas!!

No update, checked 3x times..looks like i am getting less obsess and another day gone by...

Question, Would asking the congressman/senator to assist, hurt my chances of not getting immigrant visa? how does it work?

I was just curious to know when any of you submitted the new documents and had to include the mail authorization certificate that has the bar code. Did that sheet with the bar code start with 2009 for any of you? Or was it some other number please share.

I don't have the one from loomis unfortunately. I only printed out one copy and sent it with the package.

My new Canada post one (that i don't need and haven't used) starts with 2010... if this helps.

To some they do make a difference and to others they don't. I involved mine yesterday, and the answer I got is basically I have to wait until they review the new documents there is nothing that can be done. And that cr1 and ir1 take longer to issue.

Thank you, I think it's the same one from lomis and I don't think it will change. At least mine didn't.

CSC/United States DoS Immigrant Visa Courier-In Authorization Certificate

Applicant Name: xxxxx Visa Class: Immigrant Visa

315 Place d'Youville Suite 500 , Montréal, Québec H2Y 0A4 CA DS-260 Number: xxxxxxxxx
Destination: Montreal

Include this page in the courier envelope that contains your required Visa Application documents

1. For first time applications refer to your appointment instructions for a list of required documents.
2. For 221G applicants refer to the list of documents provided to you by the consulate.

Does it really matter if I don't send this page...or should forward it to Consulate's email and tell them I forgot to include this page along with the documents? I thought the first page with bar code is for the Canada Post to scan and use the free of charge service.

Thanks for the reply..no update :( not going to be home for Xmas..

After reading this, I have to go back to Canada Post and ask them to generate a return label, otherwise how would the consulate send my passport back...am I correct?

This certificate is only valid at a number of CPC locations.

Please refer to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/information/courierfor a list of CPC locations that will accept this certificate.

If there is not a convenient authorized courier location, you may send your Visa Application documents, at your expense, directly to the consulate at 315 Place d'Youville Suite 500 , Montréal, Québec H2Y 0A4 CA.

Instructions:

  1. Gather all the required Visa Application supporting documents.
    a. First time applicants refer to your appointment instructions for a list of required documents.
    b. 221G applicants please refer to the list of documents requested by the Consulate.

  2. Travel to one of our authorized courier locations.

  3. Place your Visa applications documents and the third page of this certificate into an envelope. Note that CPC will not provide you one.

  4. Present the first page of this document along with the courier envelope to the courier agent

Attention Canada Post Office Clerk

This customer has a domestic parcel for return that uses a Canada Post return ID number to generate a parcel return label from the RPS system. Please complete the following steps in RPS:

1. Place the item on the scale.
2. Select "Return Services."
3. From the Item Details screen, enter the Canada Post Return ID Number (listed below). Use as reference number the CSC ID shown above (number starting with 20).
4. Complete the required fields, including dimensions, and select "Complete."

See my message above,

My authorization certificate is from Canada Post, having that bar code is for the staff to scan and use the service for free. But also creates a return label for the consulate to send your passport back that has a reference ID to track the package once it ships out from Montreal.

I want to know if that Return Label is put together before the envelope is closed after the scale??

Any Idea??

Montreal embassy received my documents after my I-601 approval last Tuesday Nov 24th but my statues hasn't changed from Refused since then ... How long did it take for you to see the changes like AP?!

They received my requested documents the same day as your date. But still I'm under AP. Anything new on your end?
