That is horrible, too thick probably the paper punched the corner..doesn't seem that someone tried to open. Damage occurred during transit...

Jenn, does the person who answers people emails also handles cases or just there to give you estimated time like an operator? Because it sounds to me, its forwarded for review. Maybe we still have hopes.

After seeing that email saying 8 weeks to process. I feel I have slow down my anxiety, meaning I don't have to keep checking ceac...but frustration is there big time. I was so mad, I even shout at my co-worker - so much hunger and I realize I was wrong for no reason.

Let's enjoy the weekend, and forget it about - until next round - Dec 14-18

The person who answers the emails is just an administrative professional, and has absolutely nothing to do with our cases. They have access to our status' and what not, but that's it. When they replied in the email, they told me it had been received and forwarded to the appropriate consulate officer.... Who seems to have put it at the bottom... very bottom, of his/her pile lol:(

I don't believe it will take 8 weeks to process, but so far mine has been in their hands for two and a half weeks, and the CO at my interview only told me only two.

Compared to members timelines from November and October, they seemed to have theirs within 15 business days of their documents being received. Mine has been there 12. So my fingers are crossed this week will come with good news; if not, then Montreal is either backed up or they have found something they don't like about my case  (even though I was approved on spot).

If I am doing the math correctly, 12 business days for you will put you at December 23rd. But lets hope yours goes much, much quicker!

It is really nice to have people to talk to on here, who are dealing with the same thing. So a big thank you to you, and everyone else who tries to share the positive vibes. Even though it is the weekend, I'm sure I speak for everyone... I am still stressing.... I wonder how NinjaMax is doing, how his POE went and if he is finally livin' the dream! :joy: lol

I should also mention, I emailed the consulate on December 8th, and never received a reply. They're fed up with my constant need for communication I think!!

They probably are....I sent 3 so far and have been answered so far.

Why would you say your case is different from others? I think mine was in worse scenario going through I-601 and I-212

We both going to hit the jackpot next week...ok

Forget NinjaMax, he probably drunk...!! he did say something about his POE - go to page 111 I believe.

My fiances was torn a bit like that, but not as bad but pretty close.. He didn't have any issues at POE in Chicago! I was more worried about it than he seemed to be, but I totally understand the worry. He just put it back in the LOOMIS envelope and took it to the airport that way.

From what I've seen on posts about the tear, it's meant so the clerks can look in without actually seeing anything, but being able to tell the papers are there. A lot of envelopes have the tear, it's the carriers at the end of the day that make it worse. =[

Like I say for anyone...take pictures and video record before opening the envelope..or cut an area that you can slip out the passport and leave the rest inside, at least you can avoid a minimal problems at POE

So I had my interview Dec 7th, my passport was water damaged so I had to get a new passport within 24 hours and bring it back to the consulate on the 9th, dropped it off and registered for Canada Post on the 10th. I forgot to do it before the interview but then waited as there as a good chance I would be able to get the visa printed on the spot on the 9th, turns out the printer wasnt working -_-

My status on ceac currently says ready for interview to be scheduled and last touched on Dec 11th ... is this normal ? Do i need to do anything more? im freaking out cause I bought my flight for Dec 27th and it wasnt cheap.

Mine says Current Status May 13th, 2015 I wouldn't worry much. CEAC is the one you look for now until it shows Issued. I am not sure what triggered Dec 11 unless you sent an email after the interview.

Is that reason everyone visa haven't been printed because of the printer?

Before it said Dec 9th when i logged in and registered for canada post on the 10th and then checked the next day, so maybe it was that they got my registration info?

Im not sure that the printing issue would affect too many others as he asked if i was staying in Montreal any longer as if I could probably have picked it up the following day. It was after 3pm so i figured it was because of that possibly?

I don't believe by registering at ais-visa would trigger the Status update. I did it last night, all it did confirming that you successfully registered your pick-up location when the passport is returned. What I believe is, Consulate physically had your passport in possession and triggered on Dec 11

Read our comments from page 108 and you would get the idea, how frustrating we are...

A passport for me was the only issue as well too... and I'm still waiting:(

BUT your circumstances are a bit different. You were able to get the passport within two days, mine took a week to have in my hands and another two to be delivered and received by the consulate.

So you could very well have your visa soon.

I wouldn't worry too much about your status update... mine is in AP but my daughters still says READY to schedule interview, so no worries... yours is fine :) by the way, does it say ready immigrant or ready non-immigrant?
