Yeah

just showed my ID (which was expired and had my old address on it) and got the package

Thanks. I already booked my flight and will be POEing tomorrow, hopefully I dont have a hard time being processed, you never know whos having a bad day.

im thinking about arriving 3 hours earlier than my flight, do you think that is overkill?

Not at all. I'm leaving on thursday for my flight and plan on giving myself about 3 hours too. Grats :D

February: Additional documents requested

May 25: Advance Parole granted (pointless, in my case)

June 3 2016: Green Cards received!!

Depends on when you'd be going through customs. Typically its at the departing country but that's not always the case. For me, I'll be processed before my flight in Montreal.

They needed my original citizenship certificate not a copy.

Well it seems like it is taking anywhere from 7-15 days for those of us who have had to send in additional documents recently. Hopefully you and I will get some results this week! Let me know if you have any updates

November 16 2015: Interview in Montreal

Result: Approved, but additional documents requested

November 25: Documents received by consulate

December 29: Visa's in hand!

December 29: POE at Peace Bridge

January 5: Married!!!! (L)

January 11: Applied for SSN

January 18: Sent out I-485 packet

January 19: Received SSN card

January 29: Received text notification that I-485 package has been received

February: Additional documents requested

May 25: Advance Parole granted (pointless, in my case)

June 3 2016: Green Cards received!!

Finally Non-immigrant Ready today!

It's such a small change, but I'm so relieved and happy that something has changed. Even though I haven't been waiting very long, each day feels like a lifetime.

K-1 Visa Process (182 days from I-129F filed -> Visa in Hand)

 

 

May 10th, 2015: Got Engaged!

June 12th 2015: Fiance filed I-129F, June 19th, 2015: (NOA1) Received at California Service Center

July 23rd, 2015: (NOA2) NVC received

Aug 31st, 2015: NVC Approved and fwd case to consulate in Montreal. MTL case # given.

Sept 8th, 2015: MTL received and sent P3 by mail, Sept 18th, 2015: P3 received in mail, Sept 18th, 2015: DS-160 completed and P3 documents sent by e-mail

Sept 21st, 2015: P3 Approved. Received P4 by e-mail, Sept 21st, 2015: Booked K-1 Visa interview for December 2nd, 2015!!

Oct 2nd, 2015: Booked Medical in Toronto for November 12th, 2015

Nov. 12th, 2015: Medical done in Toronto, ON with Dr Lyndon Mascarenhas. Highly recommend him!!

Nov. 17th, 2015: Medical results delivered by Purolator

Dec. 2nd, 2015: Interview in Montreal... APPROVED!!!!

Dec. 9th, 2015: CEAC status changed to Issued!

From what I've read I think it should go to Non-immigrant AP, and then if all is well it should go to Issued. :)

K-1 Visa Process (182 days from I-129F filed -> Visa in Hand)

Gratz Ninja, I said to you last night you would get it today.. Keep us inform where was POE and the experience you have with the agent.

Mine would be picked up in Markham as well, I am like 5 mins drive.

After I left VJ, I emailed the embassy last night. I got a replied this morning saying:

Good morning,

Thank you for your email!

Please note as of today we have not received your documents at post. Mail addressed to the U.S Consulate General Montreal goes through an offsite facility first, therefore the day it shows in the system as received is not the day we physically receive the documents at post. Please allow for additional processing time as the documents could be in transit.

I think I am stressing out like everyone else...running out of patience!! :hehe:

Emailing them triggers the date to be updated. But hang in there the K1 VISAS are faster than the cr1 ir1.

I had an interview few days ago but yesterday, my visa status changed to "Issued" with the following message

"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. As the officer told you in the interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment."

Please is it a good development?
