We received a letter via his senator saying that all our paperwork is fine and there is no issue with anything we sent. Some of the paper work is still going through administrative processing though.

Basically, they just told us to chill out and wait.

There is another member on this board who is in the same situation as I am. They had the exact same interview date, passed the interview and have been told they are still in Administrative Processing. Its been 13 weeks now. Ugh,

Hang in there I will share my story soon with everyone but things are looking better for me. Don't give up bug them don't take no for an answer.

Added a vote to this.

I'm basing it off of our AP and when they received the documents.

Montreal received the documents the next day they were sent from LOOMIS, 6 days later the visa was issued and my fiance picked it up exactly a week after they received requested documents.

Based on that, I picked 4-7 days.

Today my case status date was updated from Admin Processing sept 15th (when i was handed the 221(g)) to Admin processing Nov 19th. Im assuming they received it from their offsite now?

I really hope they are beginning to process it, why else would it update today?

No, news.

We have tried contacting his senators office numerous times and get the same response..that they cant do anything and we just need to wait. I feel like that is a cop out though so he is going to physically go down there one day and ask to speak to someone that could give us a better answer. I might also go down the US embassy in Toronto and try to get a meeting to see what the want kind of answers I can recieve.

Did it change from Immigrant to Non immigrant? If so then yes this is a good thing!

From what I've seen, once it says READY after they recieve the documents, that means it SHOULD be on it's way to who ever approves it. If you're on READY non immigrant, then the next step either should be AP or issued. If it goes on AP, it's because it needs to get to the next set of hands that are going to do the visa process.

Again mine looked like this:

November 3rd/2015 - Montreal received requested documents.
November 4rd/2015 - Status changed from Administrative Processing to READY
November 6th/2015- Status changed from READY Immigrant to READY Nonimmigrant!
November 6th/2015- Status changed from READY Non Immigrant to AP Nonimmigrant!
NOVEMBER 9TH/2015 - STATUS CHANGED TO ISSUED!! :joy:

Yeah dude you're good to go!

I don't know if you ever noticed, but it always originally said Immigrant on the top when you typed in your MTL number. It changes to nonimmigrant because the K1 is technically a nonimmigrant visa, it's just processed like an immigrant one initially!

You'll either see an AP or Issued soon! If it goes into AP it'll only be for a day or so, just means they're sending it to the people who actually put in the physical visa, then it'll say issued.

But once it's changed to nonimmigrant, you're pretty much done, at least from my experience with them recently for K1.

I kindly asked if it can be expedited and he said he will transfer my file to another officer and he will decide. So i guess that's a maybe.
