I've been trying to call DOS all day repeatedly getting a message saying all operators are busy try again later, I finally got put on hold and after waiting for 18 minutes I finally got an operator who told me to call the consulate and told me to have a good day. I still have no update on dhl or the usvisa-info site, between calls to DOS I also called NVC to see if they could give me any info but they couldn't. Frustrating. Now I'm going to try calling the consulate

And there is no longer any live operator service at the Montreal Consulate, so I guess I can try emailing?

They only deal with USC Canada related emergencies anymore. The only way you can try and reach them is by email.

You can email the IV Unit at : montreal-iv-dv@state.gov. I never got anything besides the automated reply but an operator personally replied my fiance's (he's the USC). I would suggest the USC in your relationship writes the email ;)

Be prepared for an elusive answer.

Good luck and keep us posted!

We're still waiting for my visa. Imy interview was May 16, 2011. i called Dos today, and the lady who answered says visa is still at the consulate not yet send thru DHL.

Hoping I could have it within this week.

Could they tell you whether it was issued/printed or did they just tell you they can't see a waybill number yet?
