Like many others we think we have prepared to the best of our abilities. She is the citzen. So this is what we have and we have already sent this in with the application

1. Her 3 years tax returns. Original and photocopied.

2. Her paystubs.

3. Her employment contract from Yale University stating that she is a Gasterointerologist doctor fellow and her salary.

4. My taxes.

5. Bank statements and Xmas cards and junk mail etc.

6. Photo album and photos.

And of course a paper bag for my to breath into or vomit into. I have already told her that I am going to need a Ambien or lots of Martinis to go to sleep tonight.

That being said am I missing anything.

Of course don't forget both your passports, both your birth certificates, a marriage certificate and all those things. If you're working, do you have a letter from your employer stating your salary? Are you on any utility bills?

Good luck!!

If you could get a statement from your life insurance companies naming you each as beneficiaries or from your 401K companies... They love that. Once he saw that, he was satisfied.

of course I forgot to mention that...We do have the Birth certificates and her original citizenship certificates.

The only thing I worry about is that we do not have that intimate level of financial consolidation yet. The utilities were under her name, I just kinda moved in.

I mean if this is their make or break I can have freinds in-laws line out the door to testify for our marriage.

She has not taken my last name yet...She says she wants to wait till after the first child is born.

So, should we try to emphasize her being a doctor at Yale to kinda get additional credibility, that doctors usually dont go into "fake marriages".
