hey, i understand what you mean about boarding passes, we had absolutely no ideea we would need them for anything so we didn`t have any.I had to turn my house upside down and finally found a receipt showing he used his card in my town, plus the paasport stamps and a airport hotel receipt and that was enough thank God!

Good luck and hope you find a way for you 2 to be together as soon as possible!

Glad you found them! And I'm happy for you both!

Thanks for the luck!

Yeah each evidence by themselves is flimsy but taken as a collective they can at least give some assurance of a bona fide application.

I visited Japan 9 times in the last 3 years. I just happened to keep most of my boarding passes and receipts only because I stashed them into my Japan trip boxes and didn't think much of them until I realized they might come in handy for the K1.

What really really amazes me is the chat/phone longs though. I've read that some people print them out. I can picture the CO going over a few hundred pages. "I see on like 234 you have a 'nighty night pumpkin" and there is a "good night cupcake" so it passes the relationship test! Or worse yet you see a bunch of 'lol u 2" IM message.

Anyhow, what location is she in? I wouldn't count on any expedition. On the night of the quake I freaked out and asked for our case to be expedited and it was rejected the next day. We were almost at our 5 month mark at that time so it didn't really matter for us though.

You are right! I'll send everything I can when the time comes. Pretty sure I still have 'Tokyo Disney' passes...that should do, right!? If train tickets will..bakas!

Maybe i should flood them with the 100 plus emails with pics I did save!!

Anyways..she is in Takasaki. Far enough away that I'm not "too" worried....but still concerned.

We started the I-129F together when she was here last december. Just want to be together..........

I really don't see where any of this extra info is relevant! So we took a train ride together..doesn't have our names on the stubs. So I flew to her country...doesn't mean I saw her. So we got a hotel on new years eve, booked in my name...doesn't have her name, just shows it was a room for 2. And 'gift' receipts!!? Does that mean I need a pictures of her holding the said gift!? I know that this stuff is 'optional', and that it helps when they see our passports (matching dates), but it still proves nothing! Even though all cases are different, it still worries me to see posts of people here that had their files rejected because of lack of proof. I have flown to see her 2 times in the last few years, but didn't keep the tickets. I didn't even realize it would be a good idea to keep them until a few months ago when I really started researching the K-1. I genuinely love her, and would pay anything to file this @#$% if I knew they'd really see that love. Sorry to rant, just worried. She's in japan and I worry about her everyday! We planned to get married before the quake...it just made me want to speed things up. No room for delays. She is safe, for now. Does anyone know of a way to hurry this this paperwork up so I can get her here and away from the radiation and quakes!? Thanks.

I can easily picture how you are worried about your fiancee. My fiance in the states got freaked out and couldn't sleep for a couple days after the quake, and that made ME(the one in JP) worried about HIM. hahaha:) The radiation leak is making us very scared but we just have to believe in the workers there and keep our fingers crossed, as there is nothing much we can do about the situation...

I don't know if this can be helpful, but the things we gave to USCIS were photos of us, me & his fam, him & my fam, us & his neighbour, and copies of our passport stamps, and letters of intent. No receipts or anything (because we had threw away all those things, as we normally do. haha!) but luckily we didn't have a REF.

Don't confuse proof of ongoing relationship with proof of having met in the last two years. Things like passport stamps or train tickets with your name on it in fiance's country will prove that you met in the last two years (yes, you could have been visiting someone else in your fiance's country, but they won't get that obsessive and take your word for it).

Things with no one's name on it will not help at all.

Other visits can help to show proof of ongoing relationship, as well as photos or emails.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

So how do I prove an 'ongoing relationship'? Even if I send them pics taken today, it'll be outdated by the time they see them. Not that I can take pics together today. So, basically emails will do!?

And all the tickets we've ever got, besides airline, don't have our names on them.

We did not have passport stamps, they dont stamp unless you ask at the border... didnt even think of collecting stuff like that before. We sent bank statements and pictures. My fiance even wrote a letter explaining why we have what we have. Oh i sent a movie ticket from 2005 when we first met and signed the back of it. Pictures with no date i put the date on the back and signed it. We just sent all we could and hoped for the best. We got approved.

Any pictures you have with the date and location will help. And yes, I was one of those people that printed off my facebook "wall-to-wall" with Will lol. As well as private messages. Any phone logs are good too. Can you maybe go back in your credit card statements and find where you paid for your flights to see her? that might help. Just send anything you can think of that shows your relationship. :)
