You got in with your phone? Don't they search you before you go in?

I was talking about the medical. It's just the US Consulate you can't bring your phone or any other electronics.

Dont know how I managed it, but Ive got an interview for May 2nd. I thought I would be waiting months!!! I really dont understand their system. Not that I am unhappy that its in two weeks, but now I have to scramble to get my life packed up over here and get ready to leave Canada.

I'll be heading for my K1 interview on the 17th. :)

Can't believe I managed to get an interview before you Coconuts! I thought Id go through every thing long after you were finished :P

It's because I haven't changed my interview date since I booked it back in February. March and April dates have opened up but I haven't grabbed them due to obligations here. I wouldn't be able to move until July anyway. :)

I got my interview today for May 5th!!! :D

We've been waiting so long.

Do I have to leave right after my interview? How long can I stay?

Grats!

You can leave right after the interview. The passport and visa gets sent back by DHL to a location you pre-select.

Any one else on May 2nd? Im curious who is going to be with me waiting in line that day. I know some people have gone through the process all on their own. I dont know how they would have done it though. I dont think I could have made it with out this website!

I'm the day after you, May 3. I believe there are others that will be there on May 2nd. Go through this thread again and check. Will you be coming from far for the interview? Or do you live here in Montreal?

And I can't imagine people going through this without this site either. VJ has been so informative and useful to me.

May 13th but i will most likely have to change it come the 26th of april ... my sons father after 2 years of not coming to see him despite me having sole custody decided he wants to #### things up for me and ask for 1 day a month of visitation s.... so now im stuck asking the court for permission to move with my son ...

and well IF i get permission i will have to translate the documents and i dont have a translator in my town so will have to wait for the government to do it for free... which will take about a month

anyone know of a good translator and how much it would cost aproximately to translate fromfrench to english.. a court document

Havent seen any one else. Im coming in from Ottawa, so its not too bad. I dont have to worry about staying in a hotel in Montreal, just lots of trips back and forth.

Oh ya, Ottawa's pretty close. Are you going to be driving or flying to Montreal?

And I've seen these two members (IR-1/CR-1 visas though) with an interview on May 2nd: ER@VJ and A_J.
