Hi everybody! This is my first post so I apologize if this information is somewhere else. I searched the forums and the faq's too. I think my case has been with the CSC for just about 3 months now and I don't think it's been touched. I haven't received the RFE either. How do you find out if it's been touched? Also, what is meant by biometerics?

I'm going back to Barranquilla in 3 weeks to see my fiancee and I can't wait. I was only planning to go back one time to go to the interview but it seems like this will not be for a while yet. The extra trip is straining my finances but I need to see her again soon. At least we get to chat on msn messenger every day and I can see her on her webcam so it's better than just the phone.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for your help! I felt much better after I found this website because I knew then that I am not alone! :thumbs:

I-129 submitted on 5/26/06 (on OLD forms because the new ones weren't out!!)

NOA #1 with receipt number dated 6/12/2006

Nothing else has happened after that as far as I know... No RFE's, Nothing?

Email notice on 9/11/2006 that my question would be answered.

Email notice on 9/12/2006 that the RFE is in the mail 3 months after my WAC number

Next trip to see her for a week on 9/23/06...

Went to Colombia on 9/23 returned on 10/1

I never received my RFE but my attorney sent me his copy which I filled out and overnighted on 10/3 RFE delivery confirmation on 10/4 but nothing from CSC yet...

CSC Email saying they have my RFE on 10/11/06, a full week after they got it.

Note that to this day, I've still NEVER received my copy of the RFE they said they mailed to me! I've seen lots of posts about lost RFE's and other documents from the CSC! This concerns me greatly!

NOA 2 on 10/18/2006 Woo Hoo! 129 days from NOA 1.

Yesenia arrived in the US on January 18th, 2007

We were married on 3/17/07

Filed for Green Card and Employment Authorization right away.

Green Card was issued (with EAD card) on 6/15/07

We'll be filing for AOS pretty soon.

A 'touch' shows up as the Last Updated date on the USCIS website. You can access the website and check the status of your case by going here:

https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

and using the NOA1 receipt number, creating yourself an account. A touch simply means the last time anyone had human contact with your file. This could mean anything from spilling coffee on it, to passing it along for final approval. Some people never get touched and then get surprised with an approval.

Regardless, buyer beware. Checking for touches is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!! :wacko:

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer
