NOA1 & expired greencard for travel?

My conditional greencard expires in April. We sent our I-751 package in February, the NOA1 that states about the extension of benefits for one year was sent directly to our lawyer's office. The lawyer sent me an email with a copy of the NOA1.

My question is - do I need the ORIGINAL of the NOA1 in order to travel after my greencard expires? Will the copy I printed out suffice?

I'm not sure why USCIS sent the notice to the lawyer's office?!?!?

If the lawyer signed it as the preparer the lawyer will get all the paperwork and only fwd copys. You should have the original NOA1 not a copy of it.

Lawyer is not necessary throughout this process unless there's waiver involve, we will go all the way through this whole ordeal without paying a single penny to a lawyer.

You need the original of your NOA1, you lawyer should be the one to keep a copy, not you.
