Hi friends

A little background about me and my fiancee.

I have been divorced twice ( one of my ex wives were sponsored by k-1 vietnam )

I had big engagement party with current fiancee 7 months before my divorce finalized

My sister in the US attended the engagement party with me

I filed the i-129 within a week of getting the divorce finalized

I have 2 children from the prior marriages.

I have the same last name as my fiancee.

My fiancee have never been married

I made 2 trips to VN before filing the petition and 1 more trip before her interview but i went home right before her interview.

My fiancee and me are close in age

My fiancee was interviewed for 15 minutes...she was asked about 20 questions. She can't remember all the questions. She remembers being ask what I do for a living. She stumbled on 2 questions. She didn't know my kids' names and that one of my exs live in the same state as me. The co didn't ask why my fiancee had engagement party before divorce finalized. The co took all the photos she brought with her. Anyway, she was given a blue requesting relationship timeline, my and her 10 yr residency, my exs address & phone # and how they came to the US and evidence of their addresses, my parents' birth cert and my fiance's parents' birth cert. She said out of the about 12 interviewees only 2 got the pink. I can't say i didn't expect this since my fiancee didn't want to know too much about my exs and she really didn't want me to talk about it. She had very nice caucasian co in her 30s. We are to turn this all in by April 7.

I am not trying to worry you but the red is a very serious mistake on her part. Any fiancee needs to know the names of her step children, and if you have made two trips this means you have been in a relationship for at LEAST 1 year. The green is also a serious problem, but not nearly as serious as the red. Get all the information they need, and hope for the best, it is in the hands of the CO, but do not be suprised if her not knowing your childs name comes up later on. We are crossing our fingers for you and wishing you the best of luck Jerome and binh

Very sad to hear this and I will pray that the pink is coming soon.

My wife also at first refused to talk and learn anything about my ex wife but I forced her to and explained it was very important for her to know everything there is to know about me. She did but at the interview they did start to ask and she told them curtly that she didn't want to talk about my ex. I was surprised they let it go but at that time I had been divorced for 13 years. I am surprised they didn't ask for a family tree to be done though.

Over all I say get what is requested in ASAP and hope for the pink. No matter what do what is needed and let us know the results and we can help you along the steps. Recent divorces are tough but most get the pink anyway after a prolonged fight. We even had one here get the pink right away after turning in the requested info who had been recently divorced.

Please don't despair as pinks are actually not as rare as most make it out to be here. God bless and good luck.

Your wife didn't know your kids' names because you were rushing the relationship. You should know better that your relationship is NOT a normal and easy one (for example people who are both single, relatively young). You gambled, so the result is within expectation.

Do you have a plan in the event of an AR?

You have sponsored someone from VN in the past and the result of that marriage was a divorce. You expect the C/O believe in this marriage? They just are cautious not just for the two of you this time, but for themselves and the American welfare system.

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!

Actually, i should say she forgot my kids' names...i've told her their names but she has a hard time with english names. The ex I sponsored from VN...our marriage lasted 7 years with one kid so I don't think the co thinks its a sham. Yes i am worried about AR and what to do next. For now just wait and see.

A lot of typical requests on the blue slip. The quicker you turn it around the sooner the pink slip.

We got a request for several of those along with more proof of correspondence. Linh walked in with the info and walked out with the pink.

I'm not trying to scare you but the result you may get are

1) PINK slip. Best result

2) Put in AP. Limbo

3) Flat out white denial. Worse result.

I honestly think they already made their decision but won't say it because they use this blue slip as delay tactic. As an example, on the day of our interview there was also another VJ member who had same interview date. Both were given exact blue slip. After turning it in, I was approved, while the other denied. Give them what they want, pray, and hope the result is a PINK slip. Good luck, we are all hoping PINK for you.

If she really cares to obtain that Visa, she needs to learn memorizing names. It's not like going to a lawyer's state bar or nurse' NCLEX exam. Today, in another thread, you just updated us that her answer to the CO's question about the Engagement's date didn't match yours.

There's NOTHING more important to women that these sorts of information. Many years after the official marriage, most hubby will tend to forget the Anniversary date, but the wives will NEVER do. This tells your "wife" might not care about this Visa journey, sponsored by you, as much as you "think".
